Amber Leighty, with Tractors for Trenton, visited OMA and Lil' Hoosiers Preschool to talk to the stu- dents about water safety and swim lessons. Harvey Capehart found a comfy place to work on the iPad. Max Straughn is showing his Skittles creation during J.A.M. Club. Peyton Taylor is showing her Skittles creation during J.A.M. Club. Winslow Elementary The girls and guys had a great time at the PTO's an- nual Favorite Guy Dance. The girls invited their favor- ite guy to enjoy dancing, snacks and pictures. Heidi Opal, Abigail Tyring and Halie Brock stop to pose for a picture during the dance. Dad, Paul Branum, is Sophia Branum's favorite guy for the PTO dance. Dr. Nicholas Olinger came to talk to the second grade students about his job as a den- tist and how to take good care of their teeth. Jenny Cherry's kindergarten classroom celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday with hats and other activities. Students working on Mrs. Bohnert's homeless unit, sponsored by the IPL teacher's grant, are expanding their handmade items for the homeless. With the guidance of Mrs. Bush, students learned to crochet and are construct- ing hats and scarves to send to the home- less next winter. OTWELL MILLER ACADEMY SCHOOL BOARD MEETING APRIL 20 The Otwell Miller Academy school board is scheduled to have a public meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, April 20. at the school. Any- one wanting to make a public comment at the meeting needs to sub- mit the comment by 5 p.m. Thursday, April 16. Items on the agen- da include: public ques- tions, donations, old business, new business, public participation and director comments.
