PINEWOOD DERBY Cub Scout Leader Joe O'Brien as the starter turns loose a heat and the boys Braddac Boger, Nikia Bell, Tristan Kinman, Kolin Cannon, Aden Robling, Kayden Hill, Taylor Russell and Damion O'Brien anxiously watch the cars race down the track. The Petersburg Cub Scouts annual Pinewood Derby races were Sat- urday morning at the VFW. The Scouts built cars from a kits that con- sists of a wood block and a set of wheels. They then race the cars. Elev- en Scouts competed in the event with Conner Fields winning. Above: Kayden Hill, Conner Fields and Andy Johnson react as two cars finish a close race.
