Poplar Street, Petersburg Deadline: 5 p.m. on Monday DANNY A. BEADLES Danny A. Beadles, 70, passed away Friday, Septem- ber 20, 2019, in Evansville. He was born in Indianap- olis on November 10, 1948, to Otho Bob and Hilda Jean (Bush) Beadles. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War and worked as a maintenance planner at Hoosier Energy. He is survived by his wife, Julie Beadles; son, Jason (Melissa) Beadles; daugh- ter, Chrissy (Michael) Ser- afini; two sisters, Karen (Glen) Ross and Connie (Boyd) Ross; seven grand- children, Michael, Mia and Mara Serafini, and Alexsus, Hudson, Della and Maggie Beadles; a nephew; and four nieces. He was preceded in death by both of his parents. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2019, at Har- ris Funeral Home in Peters- burg, with Jeremy Ross offi- ciating. Burial will immedi- ately follow at Beadles Cem- etery in Winslow. A military service will be performed at the graveside by the VFW Post #3587. Visitation was from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the fu- neral home, with a Masonic Service at 7 p.m. by Mason- ic Lodge #121. R ANDALL "R ANDY" LEE ARMSTRONG Randall "Randy" Lee Armstrong, 53, of Hazleton, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 19, 2019, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville. He was born to Howard Lee and Heidi Ingrid Arm- strong on October 22, 1965, in Chicago, Ill. He was a 1984 graduate of O'Fallon High School and re- ceived his welding certificate from Belleville Community College. He worked at Nidec Corporation (Hurst Man- ufacturing) in Princeton. He was proud to be a volun- teer firefighter for both the White River-Hazleton and Union Community Volunteer Fire Departments. He great- ly enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid deer hunter. He spent many cold mornings in the woods with his dad and nephew, Jordan, waiting on the "monster buck." He is survived by his wife, Maggie; daughter, Me- gan Armstrong, of Evans- ville; parents, Howard (Barb) Armstrong, of Pato- ka, and Heidi Armstrong, of Ft. Branch; sisters, In- grid (George) Robinson and Sharon Armstrong (Bob Toth), both of Ft. Branch; brother-in-law, John (Melis- sa) True, of Bruceville; niec- es and nephews, Desiree, Raven, Jess, Macray, Daw- son, Isaac, Caleb and Ella; great-nephew, Isaac; great- niece, Arielle; and many adored cousins and friends. He also leaves behind his much loved flock of chick- ens and his three dogs, Lily, Toby and Moose. Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Ran- dall "Pete" and Camille Arm- strong; stepfather, Richard "Dick" Henderson; father-in- law, David "Mike" True; and nephew, Jordan Lee Arm- strong. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. CDT on Thursday, September 26, 2019, at Col- vin Funeral Home in Princ- eton, with Pastor Sam Polito officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Mt. Olympus. Visitation will be from 4- 8 p.m. CDT on Wednesday and from 9 a.m. CDT until service time on Thursday at the funeral home. ROBIE JOE CARTER Robie Joe Carter, 85, passed away September 18, 2019, in Huntingburg. He was born in Pike Coun- ty on February 11, 1934, to Raymond Earl and Anna Mae Carter. He spent the majority of his life in the woodworking profession. He is survived by his chil- dren, Rick (Linda) Carter, Richard (Rosie) Carter, Ro- bie Joe (Cindy) Carter Jr., Janet Lynn (Don) Padgett and Robin (Tony) Fellers; several grandchildren; ma- ny great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and his brother, Jerry Carter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dana Carter; sis- ter, Mary Ann Kennedy; and his parents. Services were at 10 a.m. EDT on Monday, Sept. 23, 2019, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, with Pastor Sonny Flock officiat- ing. Burial followed at Wal- nut Grove Cemetery in Vel- pen. CECIL IR A PET TY Cecil Ira Petty, 86, ar- rived at his heavenly home on September 19, 2019, at his home. He was born May 29, 1933, in Epson, to Ernest and Ines (Chestnut) Petty. He attended Glendale and Montgomery High School, graduating in 1952. He served as a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He wed his childhood sweetheart, Joyce ( Wallace) Petty, on Septem- ber 10, 1952, and she sur- vives. He was a devout Chris- tian and a member of the Bethany Church, where he served as a deacon, Sunday school superintendent and treasurer for several years. He also worked as branch manager for Farm Bureau Co-op, Montgomery Grain and Feed, Big Blue and Orscheln. He was also an avid IU basketball fan. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Petty; son, Frank (Cynthia) Petty, of Elno- ra; daughter, Brenda (Lar- ry) Corrie, of Washington; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Carolyn (Frank) Whitehouse, of Petersburg, and Anna Lou (Terry) Chap- man, of Washington; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Dale, Alvin, Lester and Rob- ert Petty. Funeral service were at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, at Goodwin-Siev- ers Funeral Home, with Pastors Tom Watson and Ja- son Denton officiating. Buri- al followed in Bethany Cem- etery. GALEN ROTH Galen "DeWayne" Roth, 58, of Dale, passed away at noon on Thursday, Septem- ber 12, 2019, at his home. He was born March 23, 1961, in Huntingburg, to Albert Galen and LaVerne (Moore) Roth. He was an avid Colts fan and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law; James and Robin Roth, of Dale; his sister, Donna Roth, of Winslow; two nieces; one nephew; and a great-neph- ew. He was preceded in death by his father. Memorial services were at 7 p.m. EDT on Friday, September 20, 2019, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg, with Pastor Terry Kamman officiating. He was born on March 17, 1945, in Mt. Carmel, Ill., to John Leland and Dorothy Marie "Davis" Hillyard. He served in the Unit- ed States Army and retired from IPL in Petersburg, af- ter several years of service. He is survived by his wife 55 years, Patsy "Anthis" Hill- yard; his son, Larry Hill- yard, Jr., of Winslow; his daughter, Brigette Wayne, of Henderson, Ky.; his sis- ter, Barbara Ann Havill, of St. Francisville, Ill.; and six grandchildren.
