They can focus on just you if you need it because there are not ma- ny kids in the classes. I think that's helpful," said White regarding the busi- ness program at OCU. He said that he learned how to be a leader from his time on Pike Cen- tral's baseball team. "Kids weren't great at Pike Cen- tral, so I had to be a leader and push them to be bet- ter. Coming into that, al- ways being a leader, has pushed me here." He is enjoying his time at OCU. "I've loved it so far…It's so small, and I'm only seven or eight min- utes away…I get to still hang with my friends a lot from home." It is obvious that White enjoys sports in general, but baseball is just differ- ent for him. "When you play, well, it's so fun when you're hitting the ball and making plays. It's the most frustrating when you make an error, you feel like you just let people down. It's both an individual but al- so a team sport. I like that aspect of it. You can carry your team or you can hurt them." Pike Central's team and coach Jason McKinney celebrate winning the team championship by jumping in the pool together.
