White Hospice House in Evansville. He was born July 12, 1936, in Pike County, to Amil and Mary (Kammerer) Lee; and married Margie Fitch on March 14, 1975, in Oak- land City. He worked as a Senior Tool Designer for Siemens, formerly known as Potter & Brumfield, for 39 years. He was a member and Trustee of Cup Creek General Baptist Church and 50 -year member of the Oakland City Masonic Lodge #467 and the Order of the Eastern Star, was an av- id outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting whatev- er game was in season, and always had a sense of hu- mor, taking it to the grave with him. He is survived by his wife, Margie Lee, of Oak- land City; three children, Michael (Kathy) Lee, of Oakland City, David (Rob- in) Smith, of Mount Ver- non, and Trena ( Wayne) Lasher, of Tell City; four sib- lings, Roberta (Dick) Bruce, of Mongo, Bob (Tish) Lee, of Winslow, Sharon Aus- tin, of Velpen, and Janice Burton, of Haubstadt; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one MARION JEAN STROUD Marion Jean Stroud, 100, of Petersburg, entered rest on Sunday, April 14, 2019, at Lakewood Home in Peters- burg. She was born on Sept. 16, 1918 in Mt. Carmel, Ill., to George and Fannie Reed. She graduated from Pe- tersburg High School in 1937. She married Guy Stroud on March 28, 1944. She worked for the Indi- ana Michigan Toll Road un- til her retirement in 1986. A fter retirement, Jean and Guy moved back to Peters- burg in 1987. She is survived by niec- es, Betty Weisheit, of Peters- burg; Sue Berry, of Monroe City; and nephews, Bill Ber- ry, of Petersburg; and Paul Hunt, of New Hampshire. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Guy Stroud, on May 17, 2002. Services will be at a lat- er date. Family has entrust- ed Lamb-Basham Memori- al Chapel for personal assis- tance. She was born Novem- ber 19, 1946, to Ernest and Dorothy ( Wooten) Haynes in New Albany. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and loved spend- ing time with her grand- children. She also attended the Petersburg Free Meth- odist Church. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, The- odore 'Ted' Foster; son, David ( Winnie) Foster; grandchildren, Abbigayle Foster, Jacob Foster, Sam Theising and Isaac The- ising; brother, William Haynes; and sister, Peggy Ann Sutton. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Woodrow Haynes; and sis- ters, Mary Beaven and Bet- ty Thomas. Services were at 1 p.m. EDT on Saturday, April 13, 2019, at the Free Method- ist Church in Petersburg. Burial followed at Ashby Cemetery. Visitation was from 4- 8 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the church. HELEN MAE MOWERY Helen Mae Mowery, 86, passed away at 12:16 a.m. on April 13, 2019, at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born on January 7, 1933, in Knox County, to Joe and Helen (Zeabart) Cardinal. She married Rex Mowery on November 4, 1952, and he preceded her in death on January 8, 1992. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She devoted her life to her hus- band and children. Survivors include her chil- dren, Kim (Rick) Byrne, of Waynesville, Ohio, Karla (Mark) Wade, of Hazleton, and Rex Mowery, of Evans- ville; sister, Patty Gwalt- ney, of Petersburg; broth- ers, Jerry (Cookie) Cardi- nal and Steve (Debbie) Car- dinal, both of Bruceville; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rex Mowery; son, Charles Joseph Mowery; brother, Bob Cardinal; and grandson, Adrien Mowery. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. on Wednes- day, April 17, 2019, at Sa- cred Heart Catholic Church, 2004 N. 2nd St., Vincennes. Burial will follow at Mt. Cal- vary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Amer- ican Cancer Society. He was born in Terre Haute to Howard and Doro- thy Hooker on May 18, 1965. He had resided at The Arc of Pike County Men's Home since 2000. He loved attend- ing church and frequently quoted Romans 10 :13. He never met a stranger and found a friend everywhere he went. He is survived by his sis- ters, Linda Sanders and Me- lissa Pasko; brothers, How- ard Hooker, Jack Pasko and John Pasko; and also several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Carol Franklin and Sandy Wilkinson. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. EDT on Thursday, April 18, 2019, at Sunset Cemetery in Winslow.
