Students named to the Honor Roll have completed a mini- mum of 12 credit hours during a regular semester and earned a grade point average of at least 3.4 but less than 3.7. WVFD hosts benefit for Simmons family Brittany Roach drops a donation into the boot for Greg Simmons' fami- ly. The Winslow Fire De- partment had a benefit breakfast and chili dinner on Saturday for the Sim- mons family. Simmons, a former Winslow Town Councilman, died of can- cer while in office last No- vember. Roach and Madi- son Miller took donations and signed people in for door prizes early Satur- day morning for the ben- efit. Rick Mathias stirs homemade gravy for the biscuits and gravy break- fast. Captain Cash Money Voyage visits PES third grade Captain Cash, a Purdue Extension curriculum for elementary students, recently sailed into Petersburg Elementary third grade. Nearly 70 students engaged in hands-on learning activities around the themes of earning, saving, spending and borrowing money. The class was "all hands on deck" following a trea- sure map and decoding messages found in bottles to reach their financial destination.
