Special Holiday Edition Red Bluff hosts tourney for 22 years School comes together to raise spirit for the Holiday Classic tournament Connor Ross Insert Editor For the past 21 years the Red Bluff High School gym has been a meeting place for highschool athletes on the West Coast. This year there are 16 teams and this could be the most outstanding the teams there have been in a long time. There is supposed to be a lot of competition. On the girls side there is only one team from out of the area, and that is Ferndale. The other teams are all local teams; Paradise, Shasta, Enterprise, Corning, West Valley, Central Valley, and Red Bluff. The boys side of the bracket, on the other hand has five Boys Team Garrett Sandow Gr: 12 Austin Torres Gr: 11 Connor Ross Gr: 12 Lucas Burns Gr: 12 Jacob Bigler Gr: 11 Mathew Fox Gr: 11 Greg Dufour Gr: 12 teams from out of the area; Franklin, El Camino, Helix, Lake Oswago, and South Medford. The local teams are Enterprise, Pleasent Valley and Red Bluff. Lake Oswago won it last year for the boy's side and is looking for the repeat, but has a tough first game with the undefeated Enterprise Hornets. The past years have had a great turnout of fans coming from all over making the Red Bluff area come alive, but this year, 2012, should be insane with all the matchups that are going on. We hope to see everyone in the area at the games and make this the best Holiday Classic ever.
