This week PAWS is featuring a precious young pup named Twix. Twix and her sister, Jinx showed up at a house in the country starving and forlorn. Luckily PAWS had space available and was able to take them in. They are eating well and and are happy to have a safe place to sleep and plenty of toys to play with. Twix is very person- able and prances about the puppy room like she owns the place. She like- ly has some terrier her- itage, soft fluffy black fur, sweet, good natured and is at the perfect age to train. To adopt Twix, call 812-354-9894. CHURCH (Augusta) Broadway Street Winslow Pastor 812-582-0756 Sunday morning worship at 10 :15 a.m., children's Sun- day school during morning service; Wednesday night prayer meeting and devo- tions at 6:30 p.m. and fellow- ship to follow. Everyone is asked to bring a finger food. "I am the bread of life" ( John 6:35). Jesus came to the world so we could know, once and for all, that God is concerned about the way we live, the way we believe, and the way we die. God could have told us in other ways, of course and He had, throughout the pages of the Old Testament and in the lives of His people. By His written Word He declared His love. But Je- sus was the Living Word. By His life, death and resur- rection, Jesus demonstrated God love in a way we could never deny. Paul wrote, "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners. Christ died for us." If at any time you have no church to attend, feel free to join us for services. Your presence will be deeply ap- preciated and I am sure you will enjoy the blessings of God. "Two friends met, one said to the other, 'Come and have a round of golf on Sunday morning."' Oh, no, I attend church on Sundays." "Well," replied his friend, "I do not know what your religion is, but keep it to yourself. I've asked you to play golf many times, but you've never invit- ed me to attend church with you." The above quote reminds me of Revelation 22:17. "The Spirit and the bride say, 'Come.' And let him who hears say 'Come.' Whoev- er is thirsty, let him come, and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the wa- ter of life." Because He lives. Faith and Trust vs. Worry "Many are the woes of the wicked, but the Lord's unfailing love surrounds the one who trust in him." (Psalm 32:10, NIV ). This scripture tells us many things as Chris- tians, but two of the major ones are faith and trust. In this world depression and worry are two of the most powerful things we face ev- ery day. From making it to work on time, because the alarm didn't go off, to mak- ing enough money to feed you children and pay bills. This doesn't even include any other life altering ob- stacles, like death, sick- ness and divorce... just to name a few. We all tell our- selves, or others, that you just have to get over it or forget it to get past it. In re- ality neither of those are an option. The only way to ev- er get completely through a situation is with God. Trusting him to take care of and help you in your time of hardship, and hav- ing faith that he hears your prayer and is there to an- swer, love and guide you. Remember though, that like any good parent, God is not going to just do it for you all the time. He ex- pects you to push forward trust him while praying and listening to his guid- ance. God bless you and keep you. We welcome you to all services. Come and wor- ship Jesus with us. See our Facebook page Glezen Revival Center.
