Annual Plea for Mowing Support HOWARD WEST Howard West, 78, of Union, passed away on Fri- day, March 30, 2018, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born October 10, 1939, in Pike County, to El- bert and Mary (Leighty) West, both of whom preced- ed him in death. In Pike County, on No- vember 8, 1958, he married Linda Kay Burkhart, who preceded him in death on June 26, 2017. He worked as a coal miner for the Amax Coal Compa- ny through the UMWA dis- trict 12. He is survived by three sons, Jeff (Donna) West, of Petersburg, Brian (Noreen) West, of Washington, and Brent West, of Union; three daughters, Tonya West, of Union, Stephanie McKin- ney, of Union, and Misty (Kevin), of Petersburg; brother, Bennie G. West, of Oakland City; sister, Gene- va Deen, of Winslow; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preced- ed in death by two daugh- ters, Tammy West and Ka- trina "Tina" Gish. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. CDT/2 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at the Union Com- munity Cemetery located in Union, with Gene Burkhart officiating. TERESA SUE HENSLEY Teresa Sue Hensley, 50, of Petersburg, passed away at 2 a.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2018, at I.U. Health Universi- ty Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born in Wash- ington on August 3, 1967, to Tommy and Linda (Matting- ly) DeJarnett. She married Billy Joe "Butch" Hensley. He preceded her in death on February 21, 2012. She worked for Leed Sell- ing Tools in Ireland, Ind., and formerly worked at Gib- son County Hospital. She enjoyed gardening, spending time outdoors, her dog "Mister," her cat "Ryan Michael" and spending time with friends and family. Surviving is one daughter, Journey Hensley, of Hunt- ingburg; two sons, Jake (Mallory Gray) Powell, of Ireland, and Cody Powell; her mother, Linda DeJar- nett, of Otwell; one grand- child, Karter Powell; one sis- ter, Tabitha Ochs, of Otwell; and aunts and uncles. Preceding her in death was one sister, Tonya Wool- sey; and her father, Tommy DeJarnett. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at the Bech- er-Kluesner North Chap- el in Jasper, Ind., with Pas- tor Scott Fulcher officiating. Burial will follow at a later date. He was born July 12, 1952, to Loyal and Martha Postin. He is survived by his wife, Anita "Lamar" Postin, of Pe- tersburg; son, Gabriel Pos- tin, of Washington; grand- children, Aliah, Chloe and Braiden; and sister, Teresa Potts, of Petersburg. His services were at 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2018, at the Pilgrim Holiness Church of Petersburg, with Pastor Chad Sears officiating. Visitation was from 2 p.m. until service time at the church. Miller, 78, of Ow- ensboro, passed away on Monday, March 26, 2018, at Owensboro Health Region- al Hospital. He was born May 20, 1939, in Petersburg, to the late Herbert and Helen Short Miller. He was a retired Iron- worker with the Ironwork- er's Union Local #103 in Evansville and a U. S. Army veteran. He was a member of St. John United Methodist Church, where he served on the Board of Trustees, and the church Men's Club, in which he enjoyed the month- ly Men's breakfast meeting. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Jane Miller; daugh- ter, Rita ( James) Parham, of Owensboro; son, James Pat- rick Miller, of Owensboro; five grandchildren; three sisters; and six brothers. Services were at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial followed in Owensboro Memorial Gardens with full military honors. Visitation was from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Thurs- day at the funeral home. She was born on April 22, 1956, in Blum, Texas. She was member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Princeton. She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Randy McClanahan; son, Shawn (Amanda) Myers, of Moor- head, Minn.; father, Don(Ri- ta) Korte, of Emporia, Kan.; stepdaughters, Amanda Jo Sheesley, of Salina, Kan., and Leanna McClanah- an, of Illinois; sister, Julie Buckridge, of Neosho Rap- ids, Kan.; and three grand- children. She was preceded in death by two sisters; a brother; and her mother, Billie Korte. A celebration of life took place at 7 p.m. Satur- day, March 31, 2018, at the Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel, with Rev. She is survived by her husband, Marc Johnson; sons, Jeremy Johnson, of Blue Grass, Iowa, Bruce Johnson, of Vincennes; her mother, Maggie Roberts, of Frankfort, Ind.; sister, Deb- bie Gossard, of Kirkland, Ind.; and three grandchil- dren. THEOPHILUS "WAYNE" BUCKMAN Theophilus "Wayne" Buckman, 66, of Oakland City, left this Earth on March 31, 2018. He was born on August 31, 1951, in Morganfield, Ky., to Joseph and Evelyn Virginia (Girten) Buckman. He formally worked for the City of Morganfield, St. Ann's Parish and was a volunteer firefighter. In Evansville, he worked for Kuester's Hardware and Hertz Rental Car. He will forever reside in the hearts of all who love him. He is survived by sons, Craig (Mary) Buckman, of Otwell, and Anthony "To- ny," of Evansville; mother, "Granny" Evelyn, of Sebree, Ky.; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three sisters, Deborah Brown, Diane (Damen) Alvey and Paula Littlepage, all of Ken- tucky; two brothers, Kenny and Ricky Buckman, both of Kentucky; and several niec- es and nephews.
