James Capozella photo K-9 DEMONSTRATION FOR SCOUTS Roberts arrested for public intoxication By James Capozella A call to dispatch, at 4:13 a.m. Monday morning, re- sulted in the arrest of Au- tumn Roberts, 38, of 4048 Ziegler Rd., Loogootee, for public intoxication and false informing. Pike Coun- ty Deputy Jason McKinney responded to a report of a fe- male ringing a doorbell and then falling down near the roadway at 3047 N. CR 400 W. McKinney reported that when he arrived, the subject was standing in the middle of the road waving her arms. When McKinney asked what she was doing out at that time of the morning, Roberts stated she had left a party and was trying to get home. McKinney asked her if she knew the people that lived at the house and she stated she did not. She then explained that she needed to charge her phone because it was going dead. McKinney then asked her if she knew where she was, Roberts responded that she had no idea. She also did not know where she had come from, according to the re- port. Roberts said she lived in Petersburg but could not remember her address. She said she felt like she had been walking for three or four hours, was cold and had no idea where she was. She stated she was scared be- cause she could hear coy- otes. McKinney asked her if she had taken any illegal drugs and she said she had done a "fat line of meth" at the party. She explained a fat line was a large line of meth. When McKinney asked how she did the meth, she said she snorted it. At the scene, Roberts gave last names, including Dillard and Allbright, but those names came back negative and she had no identification on, her ac- cording to the report. McK- inney explained to her that it was very dangerous to be out walking in the roadway late at night, with no lights and all messed up on meth, knocking on doors. Rob- erts stated that she was sor- ry. McKinney was assisted at the scene by Petersburg Officer Kyle Mills. Once transported to the Pike County Security Cen- ter, Roberts was asked her real name and she said All- bright. Martin County dis- patch got a hit on Autumn Roberts with the same birth date and she then confirmed that was her name.
