C-2 Church Wednesday, Februar y 28, 2018 The Press-Dispatch Continued in next column To a child and to a cat, a new morning is a miracle of infinite possibilities. This week, PAWS is featuring an allur- ing young feline named Artie, who has lived at PAWS for over a year and is patiently awaiting to be discovered by a cat lover who will take him home and pamper him. Cat folklore claims that black and white cats bring humans good luck, so with this being said, Artie feels this week will be his lucky week to find his forever home. He is very laid back and gets along well with dogs and other felines. He can be adopted for $ 30. Call 812-354-9894 to see this handsome guy. "Finally, brothers, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapid- ly and be honored, just as it was with you" (II Thessalo- nians 3:1). Do we do everything we can each day to show God's love? Do we spread the message as often as we can by our words and deeds? We never know what even a small act of kindness can do for someone who is in need of His love and we may be the only way they see that. We should strive to let God's light and His love show through us. By blessing someone else, we too receive a tre- mendous blessing. Remember to pray for those in need, our country and our leaders. You are welcome to wor- ship with us at any of our services. "By faith, Noah became an heir of the righteous- ness which comes by faith" (Hebrews 11:7). The Bible warned the people in Noah's day, "My Spirit shall not strive with man forever" (Genesis 6:3). They laughed at No- ah and mocked his words, and went about their usu- al business and their plea- sures without ever dream- ing he might be right. God was speaking, but they ig- nored Him. Eventually, God's patience gave out and by then it was too late. Outside the ark, men and women struggled for their lives, clutching at pieces of driftwood, until the pitiless hand of death reached up and drew them down be- neath those cruel waves. All were lost. Every soul outside the ark perished. They had their chance, but tossed it away. You cannot come to Christ unless the Spirit of God brings you. But what if you ignore His warnings? Then you are in the grav- est of danger, for some- day God will no longer be speaking to you. If at any time you have no church to attend, feel free to join us for services. I'm sure you will leave feeling blessed. Jerry "Tuffy" Blackwell, Pastor Sharon Kendall, Report- er NEW LIBERTY G.B. CHURCH (Coe) 1820 S. Co Rd. 800 S. Vanish Worry "Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righ- teous be shaken." (Psalm 55:22, K JV ). Even as Christians, we have worries and concerns that can become overwhelm- ing and completely frustrat- ing. This verse is a wonder- ful reminder that we have a God that will help us by tak- ing away our cares and wor- ries. Does this mean that all your problems will just vanish? No, but this does mean that God will help you through them, and guide your steps so that stress and worry do not fill every facet of your life. Keep your mind on God and let him give you strength (or help you sus- tain) to make it through the situation, whatever it may be. God loves you and will not let you fall if you just keep your eyes on him. God bless you and keep you. We welcome you to all ser- vices. "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone boast" (Ephesians 2:8 -9). Grace is the free and un- merited favor of God. Faith is complete trust or confidence in someone; a strong belief in God rather than having proof. We praise the Lord for the three this year that put their faith to work, believing on Jesus for their salvation. Denny Wiscaver, Pastor Pam Nutter, Reporter man could be healed of lep- rosy (II Kings 5:1-14). Jere- miah was told by God that God knew him and called him to be a prophet before God had even formed him in his mother's womb ( Jeremi- ah 1:5), and there are so ma- ny more examples. When we really under- stand that God has given us the privilege of raising and teaching His child, we'll stop putting limitations on our children and realize that they hold the keys to heav- en—(Matthew 18:2-4). Hu- mility, trust and faith are so perfectly exampled in small children that it's no wonder Jesus said that we must be- come as little children to en- ter into heaven. Your child has more potential than the small acorn that, when plant- ed and cultivated, becomes a mighty oak tree. The on- ly limitations your child has are the ones placed on him by others. • Prophetic worship this Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 6 p.m. • Out of the Box Ladies Ministry, Thursday, March 8, at 6:30 p.m. at the home of Peggy Smith.
