I was raised in the Hosmer/ Glezen area and have lived in the Ayrshire area with my wife, Nancy, for the past 50 years. I worked at Whirlpool Corporation in Evansville, where I spent 35 years working in manufactur- ing. I served an apprentice- ship and worked as a mill- wright. I was promoted to super- visor in 1983 and through continued promotions, I was responsible for 12 sal- aried and 75 hourly employ- ees, and administration of a $17 million dollar budget. I also had responsibility for Preventative Mainte- nance and assisted in the apprenticeship program by selecting employees for apprentices and mentoring them through the program. I retired as Superinten- dent of Maintenance in De- cember of 2000 at the age of 54. For the past 14 years, I have been doing home re- pair in Pike and surround- ing counties, and I may have worked in or on your home. I have attended Commis- sioner and Council meet- ings for several years, and understand how the budget process works and how it does not work. While one person should not expect to change the system, if elected, I will give input and keep you, the voter, informed of things that affect you and your tax dollars. Thanks in advance for your support.
