About 150 Pike Central eighth grade students toured various area businesses and government offices to learn about careers available in the county. Some of the businesses they toured were Sisson Steel, Solar Sources, Buchta Trucking, Amber Manor, Golden Living and the Pike County Courthouse. Petersburg Garden Club attends District meeting The Petersburg Garden Club attend- ed the South West District meeting Oc- tober 16 in Princeton. Patty Freder- ick (pictured right)gave an achieve- ment report and the group was treated to a walking tour of garden spots in the downtown area.
