C-2 Church Wednesday, October 18, 2017 The Press-Dispatch CHURCH NOTE DEADLINE 10 A.M. EVERY TUESDAY Baptist If people had hearts like German Shepherds they would be full of love, loyalty and head tilting. This week PAWS is fea- turing a handsome young fellow named Titan, who has only lived at PAWS a few weeks, but has quick- ly learned the routine and loves playing in the dog yard with his fellow ca- nines. He is ever vigilant with his name fitting him quite well as he is a very powerful and influential canine. Titan is a German Shepherd and is black with tan accents, has one blue eye and one brown eye and is approximate- ly a year old and can be adopted, by calling 812- 354-9894. Give us a call: 812-354-8500 House of Mercy Corner of East and Porter Street, Winslow OCTOBER 19 & 20 • 7PM NIGHTLY with Evangelist Keith Barron ere will be a praise and worship service also at 7pm. COME EXPECTING! Camp Meeting Church of Christ Church of God Independent Catholic Christian MT. PISGAH G.B. CHURCH (Augusta) Broadway Street Winslow Pastor 812-582-0756 Sunday morning worship at 10 :15 a.m., children's Sun- day school during morning service; Wednesday night Bible study and youth at 6:30 p.m.; Second Wednes- day of the month business meeting. November 4, we will be having a fall fellowship gath- ering. Everyone is invited. We had an amazing ser- vice this past Sunday. God was moving and people were blessed. Ryan Coleman will be bringing the message this Sunday. If at any time you have no church to attend, feel free to join us for services. I'm sure you will leave feeling blessed. "God is not ashamed to be called their God" (Hebrews 11:16). We live in an upside down world. People hate when they should love, quarrel when they should be friend- ly, fight when they should be peaceful, wound when they should heal, steal when they should share, do wrong when they should do right. A clown with a weight in its head, no matter how placed, always assumes an upside down position. It illustrates why the dis- ciples seemed to be mis- fits to the world. To an up- side down man, a right side up man seems upside down. To the nonbeliever, the true Christian is an oddity and abnormality. Yet this isn't the whole picture, for all around us are people who sense something is wrong with their topsy-turvy lives, and they yearn to be right side up. We should pray for them and ask God to help us point them to life's only sol- id foundation, Jesus Christ. Jerry "Tuffy" Blackwell, Pastor Sharon Kendall, Reporter WINSLOW G.B. CHURCH 600 E. Union Street Pastor 812.582.0290 Sunday school 9:30 a.m.; morning worship and chil- dren's church 10 :30 a.m.; Sunday evening soup and sandwich fellowship; Youth group, Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.; Wednesday, adult Bible study at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. The first Wednesday of each month, Advisory Board meeting before Bible study and business meeting to fol- low. Thought for the week: God hears every unspo- ken word, see every un- seen wound, mends every unbearable pain. Put your complete trust in Him. God is good. With him all things are possible. Be in prayer this week for the lost, the sick, our church, our country and leaders, and always each other. God's blessings on you this week. Try to be kind and show God's love because every- one is fighting some kind of battle. If you don't have a church home, we invite you to any of our services. Trust Gods Path Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5 -6, K JV ). As Christians we are so blessed that we serve a God that cares for us so much. This verse stands as a re- minder that we all need to remember, even though it is extremely hard at times, to put our full trust in God and his plan, not our own. For if we do he will clear the path and make a way for us to get where we need to be in this life. We welcome you to all services. Come and wor- ship Jesus with us.
