On Wednesday, October 11, the Peters- burg McDonald's restaurant hosted a "Meet and Greet" with the local law enforcement and fire department. Petersburg Elemen- tary students K-5 attended the event. Sev- eral local homeschool students also partic- ipated. McDonald's also invited the Pike Coun- ty 4-H to participate in the event. They talk- ed about 4-H and the Enrollment Event on Sunday, October 15. McDonald's wanted all children to come and meet the local officers and volunteers that help make our community a safer place to live. Upon departure, all children were given an ice cream cone and a goodie bag containing crayons, a coloring book and stickers. Children with an allergy to dairy or who were lactose intolerant received ei- ther a small French fry or apple slices.
