Strata Solar developed this 28 acre solar farm on Dixon Dairy Road to supply power for Duke Energy over a 20 year contract period. With 22,000 panels this farm is the second largest facility in the state and should be able to supply enough power to serve the needs of approximately 616 homes. The Kings Mountain project took about three months to complete and provided work for more| than 70 installers and engineers. The company expects to build 10 similar farms this year and Cleveland County could potentially be a recipient of more jobs.
