December 9, 2011 Holiday Classic Insert Enterprise Coaches: Ray Hermann Colors: Black, Gold City: Redding, CA Mascot: Hornets The Enterprise Hornet varsity basketball team returns to the Red Bluff Holiday Classic again this year. Their school mascot is the Hornet. Their school colors are black and gold. Two years ago The Hornets were 12-2 in league play and 22-7 overall. The Hornets are 2-1 overall right now. The Varsity basketball teams roster consists of Sophomore Brandon Ever and Kaelan Crisosto, Juniors KJacob Parent, taylor, Brad Woods, Jordan Spaschak, Todd Saeteurn, Andrew Fitzhugh, Brock Barr, Brandon, Alido, Travis Hall, and Tyler Aytes. They only have one senior Sen Saelee. The team is coached by Kevin Strohmayer. Helix Coaches: John Singer Colors: Green, Grey, Black, White City: La Mesa, CA Mascot: Scottish Terrier In previous years, Helix High School has done a great job competing in the Holiday Classic basketball tournament. This year, Helix will return back to Red Bluff for the Holiday Classic. Two years ago at the tournament, Helix lost to Red Bluff in the third place game. Helix colors are green, gray, and black. So far this year their basketball team's record is 1-2 overall, not having any league games yet. The team is lead by John Singer. Lake Oswego Coaches: Mark Shoff, Gene Schmidt, Aaron Col- lins Colors: Navy, White with a scarlet red accent City: Lake Oswego, OR Mascot: Lakers Height and youth are what Lake Oswego's team brings to the table this year. Coached by Mark Shoft and assistant coach, Gene Schmidt, the Lakers are looking to press all over the court and eventually wear the other team out. The Lakers are starting three sophomores, one junior, and one senior. It's no question that the Lakers are going to compete. Lake Oswego's varsity team has gone to the state play-offs for fourteen straight years, winning it all in '06 and playing in the finals in '05, '06, and '07. The Lakers are starting two 6'5" players in Mex Livingston and Alvin Hersmanson, two 6'4" players in Conner Griffin and Mitch Lomax. Starting point guard, J.J. Dorado will look to feed all these tall guys and dominate inside. The Lakers' colors are white and blue. Marshall Coach: Dezebee Miles Colors: Burgundy, White, Black City: San Francisco, CA Mascot: Phoenix varsity boys' basketball team will be attending the 22nd The Marshall High School annual Holiday Classic Tournament. There is not enough information to supply the name of the coach. There are four seniors on the varsity: John Sear(5'9'', #5), Jimmy Yeung(5'8'', #20), Kemari Mitchell(5'8'', #31) and Mark Alexander(6'6'',#55). On the team there are also three sophomores: Jason Smith(5'7'', #10), Mizell Parker(5'7'', #12) and Preston Deming(6'0'',#25). The school colors are burgundy, black and white. Their mascot is the Phoenix. Marshall High School is located in San Francisco. They are ranked 2-2 overall. Their first game was on . November 23rd The two they lost were against the University Red Devils by three points and Castlemont by 19 points. The two they won were against Fremont by eight points and against Sequoia by one point. Pleasant Valley Coaches: Randy Gilzean Colors: Blue , White City: Chico Ca Mascot: Vikings The Pleasant Valley Vikings are coming to the 2011 Holiday Classic Tournament hoping to win. Last year they were ranked 3864 in the nation and 307 in California. During the 2010-11 season they had an overall record or 16- 13 and this year have a record of 1-2. There are six seniors on the team: Alex Fernandez- godinez(5'11'', #11), Ethan Henneberry(6'1'', # 13), Cody Pitman(6'4'', #32), James Makel(6'4'', #34), Zach Hanlon(6'5'', #35) and Tyler Monath(6'1'', #25). The team colors are blue and white. the team mascot is the Viking. the Vikings are from Chico, CA. The Red Bluff High School Varsity basketball team will be hosting the holiday classic for the twenty-second time. Their school colors are Green and Gold. Their mascot is the Spartan. Leading the team will be coaches Stan Twitchell and Andy Redfield. The team is in the Eastern Athletic League south division. The three returning seniors expect to have a positive impact on the new players and be leaders. The three returning seniors are Jonah Mcinnis, Taylor Blaser, and Mitch Robison. Last year the Spartans went 1-2 and placed fifth in the Holiday Classic tournament. Last years record was 10-16 overall and 6-7 in league. This year they have a sophomore Curtis Twitchell. There are five seniors, six juniors, and one sophomore. Stats are done by seniors Dom LightFoot and Wade Delacruz. Red Bluff Coaches: Stan Twitchell Colors: Green, Gold City: Red Bluff, CA Mascot: Spartan South Medford Coach: Dennis Murphy Colors: Royal Blue, Silver City: Medford, OR Mascot: Panther The South Medford boy's basketball team went 10-5 in their league two years ago and went 15-11 in their overall standings two years ago. The team is coached by Dennis Murphy and lost in the first round two year's ago at the state playoffs. Paradise Coach: Bruce Christ Colors: Green, Gold, White City: Paradise, CA Mascot: Bobcat The Paradise Bobcats will be returning to the holiday classic again this year. The teams roster consistd of Sophomore Andrew Naka- moto, Juniors Johnny Porter, Tommy Hays, Shane Ruther- ford, Justin Gist, and Kaleb Jukavic. the seniors are Epa Rokoika, Colby Dunlap.
