Services were held at First United Methodist Church, Cherryville. Burial was held in Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Sigmon was preced- ed in death by her husband, Eugene A. "Bud" Sigmon; her parents, Arthur Columbus Barnes and Frances Rary Barnes and two sons, Johnny and George Sigmon. Pink St., Cherryville, NC 28021. CHARLES GENE BUMGARDNER Mr. Charles Gene Bum- gardner, 88, of Kings Mountain, NC went to be with the Lord on October 24, 2011. A graveside ser- vice and internment were held at Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC. Mr. Bumgardner served our country in the United States Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theatre on the USS Intrepid. Mr. Bumgardner was preced- ed in death by his father, John Cleveland Bumgardner and a brother, John Bumgardner. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Frances Turner Bumgardner, Kings Mtn. NC; sons: Larry D. Bumgardner and wife Sandra, Kings Mtn. NC; Mike E. Bumgardner and wife Becky, Kings Mtn. NC a broth- er, Jack Bumgardner, Rocky Mount, VA; and 4 grandchil- dren.
