GSCT "Moonlight & Magnolias" Comedy Greater Shelby Community Theatre will present the comedy "Moonlight & Magnolias", a hilarious comedy, loosely based on the truth of the iconic movie, "Gone With the Wind". The comedy is based on the rewrite of the movie script by producer David Selznick, screenwriter Ben Hecht and director Victor Fleming. Locked in an office for 5 days, and surviving on a diet of pea- nuts and bananas, hilarity ensues as the three men act out all the major GWTW roles in order to produce an award-winning script for this well- known movie. The race is Saturday, October 15. The 5k starts at 8:30. Registration begins at 7:30. All proceeds go towards purchasing outdoor equipment to pro- mote healthy living for children. Cost is $18 if your registration is sent in before October 7th and this will guarantee you a shirt.. Cost on race day is $23. They will also offer a FREE Kids Fun Run for ages 12 and under.
