Mr. Bowen served our country in the U.S. Army dur- ing the Korean Conflict and in Greenland. He received the Good Conduct Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Medal and the Korean Service Medal with two bronze stars. He was preceded in death by his parents, Garland Bowen and Nellie Poole Bowen; and 2 brothers, Howard and Dean Bowen.
