Thursday, June 23-June 29, 2011 It’s A www.shelbyinfo.com It’s A Good Life Lynn Grady The Kitchen Table Lynn Grady We would like to thank Lynn Grady for being so happy, bubbly, friendly and helpful. What more could you ask for in a volunteer? Lynn is a regular volunteer on Monday night BINGO and she has been helping with commodities, Senior Games and SilverArts or just whatever we ask her. We sure do appreciate every- thing you help us with, but most of all we appreciate you and who you are. CORNER CORNER I would really like to thank the volunteers that show up every month for the volunteer meetings. I really appreciate your support and enthusi- asm you show the Senior Center and me. I would like to mention a few needs that the Senior Center is in need of: 1. Help pack congregate meals in mornings from 7 am – 9 am. If you could help just 1 or 2 mornings a week – that would be great – please call Krystal (Food Service Director) or me and let us know if you are interested. 2. Receptionist – Help answer phone and greet people at the front desk in the mornings. 3. Monday night BINGO – Help sell BINGO tickets or work in kitchen with concessions. 4.Entertainment: looking for a “Unique” group or entertainer to perform for 10 mins. (+ or -), young or old - sing – dance – play instru- ment – do yo yo trick – whatever… we would love to have you for some of our special group events. Please let me know if you know somebody or if you are interested. 5. Line Dance instructor: teach our beginning line dancing classes on Tuesdays from 1 – 2. 6. Consignment store clerk: Help check in and tag new items, and cashier. Again, Thank you for all you do and hope you have a wonderful and safe 4th of July, but please remember the volunteer meeting Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at 1:00pm. Any questions call the Senior Center @ 704-482-3488 Red Cross Summer Blood Drive The Neal Senior Center in conjunction with the American Red Cross will sponsor a summer blood drive on Friday, July 15, 2011.
