Piecemakers Quilt Guild Piecemakers Quilt Guild meets the first Wednesday of each month from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Lincoln Co. Senior Center, Room 319, Lincoln Campus of Gaston College, 511 Aspen St., Lincolnton. Meetings include a business meeting, show-and-tell, and a program related to quilting. Shelby Parks & Recreation 2011 Girls Fast-Pitch Softball Sign Ups Shelby Parks & Recreation will hold their 2011 Girls Fast-Pitch Softball Sign-Ups for ages 6-14 from Tuesday, February 1-Friday, March 11. Sign-up times will be 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday- Friday. All league ages are as of January 1, 2011: Ages 8 & under; 10 & under; 12 & under; 14 & under. Shelby City Park & Rutherford County Senior Center Dinner Theater Trip The Shelby City Park and Rutherford County Senior Center is planning a trip to Barn Dinner Theater on February 15, 2011. Transportation is provided by Discovery Group Tours. Bus will leave at 9:30am from Rutherford County Senior Center, and leaves Shelby City Park at 10:00 am, seat- ing for lunch will be at 1:00pm with a 2:15 showtime. Located in Greensboro, NC, Barn Dinner will present “Band of Angels”, a country music sensation about the starts of the famous Ryman Auditorium, featuring a cast of characters including Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, Minnie Pearl, Tammy Wynette, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, Bill Monroe, Ernest Tubb, Marty Robbins and more.
