A memo- rial service was held at Shelby Presbyterian Church. Mr. Weatherly served our country as a US Marine Fighter Pilot during WWII and the Korean War. Mr. Weatherly was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Willette Hipp Weatherly; his parents, Rufus E. and Rose Riley Weatherly in McColl, SC; and his daughter Kim Weatherly Kinnard. He is survived by two sons, Keith and his wife Melissa of Apex, NC and Karl and his wife Jinny of Sun Valley, Idaho; sisters, Sarah and brother-in-law John Fletcher of Laurinburg and Betty and brother-in- law Leon of Bamburg, SC, 3 grandchildren; and numer- ous nieces and nephews.
