"It's a warming feeling when a company like this shows up and you realize they've established their own annual tradition," said Executive Director Lindy Abrams. "Unprompted, they hosted a food drive and delivered it the week of Giving Tuesday. Last year, when they did this for the fi rst time, there was a lot of coordination and guidance. This time around, they knew exactly what to do and quietly executed it to perfection." Also donating hundreds of cans of food to WCOC last week were students and faculty at Ellenboro Elementary School. Thomas Parker delivered the food Friday and volunteers helped unload the donation for distribution in the coming weeks. WCOC appreciates all donations of food as well as items for the thrift store. Food will be distributed Thursday and Friday from 9am to 1pm. The thrift store is also open the same days and hours.
