She is survived by her husband, Don Roberts of the home; her children, Joe Roberts (Mary) of Gastonia, NC, and Evan Roberts (Peyton) of Shelby, NC,; a grandson; a brother, Roger Forner of Shelby, NC; and a sister, Rene Forner Collins (Jason) of Lincolnton, NC. Born January 14, 1964, in Cumberland County, NC, Regina was the daughter of the late Raymond Cletis Forner and Lillie Jane Carlisle Forner. HARRILL LOUIS RUFF Mr. Harrill Louis "Baby Ray" Ruff, of Shelby, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023. He was born on May 30, 1957 in Cleveland County, NC to the late James Lova Ruff and the late Rebecca Ann Ruff Surratt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Harrill Lamont "Lucky" Ruff; seven brothers, Leroy "Rabbit" Duncan, John Arthur "Chuck" Duncan, Willie "Bo" Duncan, Jimmy Duncan, Emanuel "Toot" Duncan, Charles "Charlie Horse" Surratt and Ernest Surratt; a sister, Rebecca Ann Degree; and a broth- er-in-law, Luther "Polly" Johnson. Mr. Ruff is survived by his wife, Andrea "Ann" Ruff; a daughter, Renee Ruff-Parks (Travis) of Shelby, NC; a sister, Phyllis Ruff-Johnson; his mother-in-law, Willie Mae Poole Sawyer; two half sisters, Gloria Haynes (Al) of Cleveland, Ohio and Diane Ruff of Boston MA; a brother-in-law, Ronald Strong (Saundra); a sister- in-law, Charlene Surratt; twelve grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held October 13, 2023 at Green Bethel Baptist Church. Burial took place at Sunset Cemetery. Born in Cleveland County on January 1, 1959 she was the daughter of the late Lloyd G. Murray and Lola B. Murray. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her three brothers, Gilbert Murray, Jerry Murray and Gerald Wade Murray. Anna is survived by her daughter, Shasta B. Venhuizen (Jed); a son Joshua C. Burgess; two granddaughters; two brothers: Tommy Murray (Vanessa), Danny Murray (Sonja); and her two sis- ters: Brenda Nestlerode (Raymond) and Lora Harding. A private graveside service will be held. A native of Rutherford County NC, Charles was the son of the late Charles Ray and Elizabeth Wall Morrison. Also preceding him in death were his wife, Martha Blackburn Morrison; his son, Charles Mitchell Morrison, Jr.; one brother, James Morrison; and two sisters, Martha Yarborough and Betty Jones. He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Morrison Kollmar, and her husband, Carl, of Spartanburg. Mr. Morrison served our country in the U.S. Naval Reserve. A memorial ser- vice was held on November 4, 2023, at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Spartanburg with the Rev. Dale Rawlings offi- ciating. Born in Cherokee County, SC on October 21, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Jim Turner and Eunice Bell Turner. In addition to her par- ents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dock Emory; two sons, Jack and Arthur Emory and two daughters, Wanda Cleary and Mary Turner. Survivors include a son, Larry Emory and wife, Tonya of Shelby; two daughters, Patsy Scoggins and hus- band, Jeff of Mooresboro and Ann McCurry of Mooresboro; a sister, Betty Jean Martin of Cleveland County; a special grand- daughter and numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren. A Funeral Service was held November 6, 2023, at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Mullinax officiating. The buri- al followed in the Charity Baptist Church Cemetery.
