Diane was born July 29, 1953 in Henderson County to the late Floyd Ballard and Wilma Cantrell Ballard. In addition to her par- ents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, David "Buster" Russell and a brother, Bobby Ballard. Those who will cher- ish memories include her children, Kathy Sizemore (Phil) of Michigan, Donald Lee (Chris) of Maryland, Ronald Lee of Maryland and Dawn Bean (Kenneth) of Fairview; brothers, Ricky Ballard of Rutherfordton and Randy Ballard of Maryland; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Ronnie Lee Ingle Ronnie Lee Ingle, age 73, of Henrietta, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023. Ronnie was born March 22, 1950 in Rutherford County to the late Boyce Ingle and Geneva McKinney Ingle. He worked in con- struction most of his life and raised Painted Horses. In addition to his par- ents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Christa Murray Ingle; brothers, Roy, Jimmy and Jerry Ingle and sister, Judy Ingle. Those left to cherish his memory include sons, Michael Ingle and Jody Ingle (Heidi) all of Henrietta; daughter, Angel West (Jeff) of Forest City; brother, Ricky Ingle (Marie) of Henrietta; sister, Jeanette Arrowood (Charles) of Henrietta; sister- in-law, Helen Ingle of Sandy Mush; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren. Patricia Dane Woodruff Patricia Dane Austin Woodruff, age 76, of 149 Fairhaven Dr. Bostic, NC passed away Thursday. Patricia was a native of Lenoir and a retired LPN. Those preceding her in death include her hus- band Roy Luther Woodruff, parents William Jack Austin and Mary Simmons Austin, brother William Jack "Jackie" Austin Jr. and sister Jean Austin. Left to cherish her mem- ory are her children Dawn Couch (Bill) of Ellenboro, Timothy Woodruff (Bobbie) of Ohio, Paula Quackenbush (Steven) of Ohio, Brandon Woodruff (Hannah Barlow) of Lenoir; brother Terry Austin (Cindy) of Lenoir, sis- ter Debbie Taylor (Randy) and a number of grandchil- dren and great grandchil- dren. Dr. Robert Thad Parsons, Jr. left this world for his home in Heaven Tuesday, March 21, 2023. He leaves his wife Gwen; son, Robert Thad Parsons III; stepchildren, Tami Scism, Tracy Stafford (Steve), Jeffery Scism (Bryte); grandchildren, Etta and Mina and their mother, Jill Parsons, Aimee White (Greg), Jessica White (Guy), Christopher Hoyle, Jereka Stafford, Maegan Scism and Linkin Scism; nine greatgrandchildren, sisters, Shirley Rogers, Marie Lang (Wayne) and Charity Steele (Gene). Robert pastored sever- al churches in his 50 years of service for the Lord. He taught 12 years at Gardner Webb University. Robert Morgan Funeral and Cremation Service is serving the family. James (Jim) Sansing On Tuesday, March 21, 2023, James (Jim) William Sansing, completed his jour- ney in this life at the age of 80. Jim was born in Shelby, NC on July 15, 1942, to J.M. and Effie (Patterson) Sansing. He graduated Shelby High School. Jim married Linda Williams Sansing in 1960 and they had 2 daughters, Dana and Lea. He joined the US Army October, 1960, served 3 years active service and was honorably discharged October, 1963. Jim worked for Southern Bell of the Bell Telephone System for 31 years. Jim was preceded in death by his father, J.M., and his mother, Effie. He is survived by his wife, Linda, daughter Dana and husband Doug Guffey of Shelby, and daughter Lea Sansing of Shelby. He is also survived by sisters, Nancy Hardin and hus- band Don, and Mary Ruth Andrews; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and sev- eral loving cousins. James Rodney Tilley Sr., James Rodney Tilley Sr, 70, of Forest City, died Thursday, March 23, 2023. A native of Yancey County, he was a son of the late James and Dorothy Burton Tilley. Rodney was retired from the textile indus- try. Left to cherish his memories are his daugh- ters, Annie Crandall, Susan Tilley; sons, Michael Tilley, Chris Tilley, Dewayne Tilley, James Tilley Jr. (Amber); twelve grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two nieces; and a brother, Greg Tilley (Rhonda). He was born in Cleveland County to Teresa Morrison and the late Rex Allen Morrison. He is also predeceased by his grand- parents, J.C. Walker and Willo Dean Walker; grand- mother, Alma Morrison. Doug leaves behind to cherish his memories his fiance', Amy Brady; daugh- ters, Amber Morrison, Brook Morrison and Willo Morrison; son, Perry Morrison; mother, Teresa Ledford. He was self-employed in Construction and a grad- uate of Burns High School. He was an avid fisherman. Arthur was born August 24, 1939, in Melrose, MA and was son of the late Melvin "Huck" A. King and Bernice "Bea' Robbins King. Arthur honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1957 until 1963 as a Radioman Third Class, graduated from Isothermal Community College and worked as a machinist for Allied Dye Casting where he retired. He was preceded in death by his wife, Amelia "Toni" Rose King in 2014, his brother, Lawrence "Larry" King and sister Barbara King Jenkins. Survivors include his daughter, Christina C. King, brother, Alan R. King, three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren. The funeral was held March 30 in The Padgett and King Chapel. She was born in Augusta, GA to the late Wilbur Morgan, Sr. and Mary Clark Morgan. She is also predeceased by her grandparents, Charles and Janie Morgan and Edward and Thelma Clark; brother, Wilbur Morgan, Jr. Thelma leaves behind to cherish her memories her son, Kenneth Holgate and wife, Megan of Belvedere, SC; daughters, April Pennington and Kimberly Pennington of Clearwater, SC; eleven grandchildren; siblings, Farrell Morgan and wife, Tammy of Aiken, SC, Debra Morgan Paxton and husband, James of Shelby and Charles Morgan, Aiken, SC; numerous nieces and nephews. She lived in Shelby, NC for the past 29 years where she worked in Healthcare as a nurse. A Family Reunion and Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. She was born in Cleveland County to the late Walter Cornelius and Nellie Grace Crotts. She was predeceased by her ex-husband, Walter Lackey Ledford, and a brother, Gene Crotts. Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Walter Steven Ledford and Scott E. Ledford, daugh- ter, Sandy Gilleland, and a brother, Ralph E. Crotts. Bettye was a mem- ber of Sandy Plains Baptist Church. She enjoyed being a homemaker and was a talented seamstress. Born in Cleveland County September 21, 1935, she was the daughter of Paul and McCalley Jones of Lattimore. She was mar- ried to Arthur Mauney, Sr. for over 51 years until he proceeded her in death in 2015. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant at Shelby Convalescent Center and White Oak Manor for over 20 years before her retirement, and was a dedicated mem- ber of Westwood Heights Baptist Church. She was preceded in heaven by her husband, Art; parents, Paul and McCalley Jones; brothers, Wallace and Gail Jones; sisters, Agnes Jones and Shirley Willis. Carolyn is survived by her sister Peggy Hicks of Fallston; sons, Art Mauney Jr. and wife Robyn, grand- children Arthur III (Trace), Avery and fiancé Lauren Elgin, Max and McCaulley; son Paul Mauney and wife Angie of Greeneville, TN, their children Christopher and Presley Mauney, Caleb Royster and fiancé Caroline Logan, Mallory and Madison Royster, and many nephews and nieces. Mr. McClellan was born April 17, 1939 in Philadelphia, PA. He married Sarah Myrtle Kealey McClellan and had three children Marybeth, Veronica, and Ronald Lester McClellan, Jr. (Sonny). He was a skilled carpenter. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Kannapolis. Predeceased in death by his wife Sarah, daughter Veronica, and son Sonny. He is survived by his daughter, Marybeth McClellan, 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. Private Family Services will be held at a later date.
