It may be while checking out at a grocery store, at a group event or even sitting at church, we feel like no one cares enough to acknowledge our presence. It is almost like we are invisible. Isn't it strange that in a world which is dominated by social media that people often lack common social courtesies. As a society, we have become so wrapped up in ourselves that we don't see the need to be nice to others. Sadly, our culture has lost the art of civility. How many people cross our path each day and yet we fail to acknowledge them? We treat them like they are invisible to us. Perhaps we are afraid of letting our guard down or getting out of our comfort zone, but for some reason we refuse to recognize them. What kind of difference would we make in the world if we took time to greet someone with a smile or show kindness to a stranger? Without question, we all could be more conscious of those around us and look for situations that move us to reach out. If you have ever been treated like an invisible person you know how it negatively impacts your life. We need to realize that in God's eyes, everyone counts. Jesus always saw the invisible people that no one noticed. Let us all make a point to never let anyone become insignifi cant. We just might make a difference in a life today.
