ANGELA A. TR AYLOR KERN Angela A. Traylor Kern, 62, of Jasper, passed away at 10:42 a.m., on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. She was born May 6, 1960, in Princeton, to Jack and Pa- tricia (Seifrig) Aldridge; and married Phillip Kern on April 28, 2007. Angela graduated from Pike Central High school in 1978. She was employed by the Greater Jasper School Corporation and worked as a bus contractor for 42 years. She enjoyed gardening, boat- ing, camping, cooking, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She is sur vived by her hus- band, Phillip "Bruno" Kern of Jasper; three children, Amber (Chad) Montgomer y, Jared (Amity) Traylor and Brittany (Zach) Harbin, all of Otwell; three step-children, Lakisha Collins and Nathaniel (Kee- gan) Kern, of Jasper and Na- talie (companion, Eric Wil- son) Kern, of Huntingburg; one brother, Scott (Sheila) Al- dridge, of Saint Meinrad; one half-sister, Nicole Kammerer, of Francisco; one half-broth- er, David Powers, of Winslow; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Angela was preceded in death by her first husband, Dale Traylor, who passed away on May 1, 2005; her parents; one brother, Mark Aldridge; one half-broth- er, Ter r y Braunecker; and one grandson, Trenton Leighty. Funeral ser vices will be at 10 a.m., EDT, on Wednesday, July 6, at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Hunting- burg with burial to follow at Iva Public Cemeter y in Ot- well. Pastor Jef f Pinney will officiate at the funeral ser- vice. Visitation was on Tuesday evening from 3-8 p.m. and will be from 9-10 a.m., until time of ser vice, at the Nass and Son Funeral Home. Condolences may be shared online at: www.nassandson.com SHIRLEY LOUISE EDRINGTON Shirley Louise Edrington 86, of Newburgh, formally of Arthur, passed away peaceful- ly surrounded by her loving family on June 30, 2022, at the Heart to Heart Hospice in Evansville. She was born March 23, 1936 in Princeton, to the late Charles and Dorothy Mae (McKee) Taft. She attended Oakland City High School and worked as a Sales Clerk at Sears and Roebuck for many years. She is sur vived by sons, Carl Edrington, of Phoenix Ariz., Larr y Edrington (Dee Reavis) and Greg Edrington (Debbie), of Chandler, sis- ter, Connie Brown (John), of Washington, grandchildren, Whitney Edrington, Aman- da Bayer (Jim), Cody Reavis, great-grandchildren, Quentin Fox, Hayden Cruse, Alex- is Edrington, Grace Bayer, Blayze Reavis, also several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Charles Edgar Taft, and hus- band, Pearl Allen Edrington. Merter, 76, of Ot- well, entered into eternal rest at 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at his home, sur- rounded by family. He was born in Newberr y, on September 10, 1945, to Theodore H. and Ardella A. (Partenheimer) Merter. He married Phyllis Radke on May 29, 1965, at Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church in French, Lick. He was a 1963 graduate of English High School, worked in mining construction and retired from Jasper Engines and Transmissions. He en- joyed baking, gardening, fishing, yard sales, and spend- ing time with family, espe- cially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sur viving is his wife, of 57 years, Phyllis Merter, one daughter; Regina Brittain, one son; Ronnie Merter, all of Ot- well; four grandchildren; Rus- tin Furman, Hannah Brittain, Miranda Barker, Caroline Loveland and two great-grand- children, Creed Loveland and Eastlynne Barker; one broth- er, Mike Lindauer, two nieces, Margo Porter and Mar y Ella Osgatharp, two nephews, Bill and Matt Merter. Preceding him in death are one brother, Herbert Merter and one niece, Rachel Harris. A celebration of life ser vice for Ronnie J. Merter will be at a later date. She was born June 14, 1953 to Rober t Lee and Emma Grace (Swar tsfager) Case in Mt. Carmel, Ill. She worked for many years as an office manager for Provi- dence Home Healthcare. She married her husband, Rex Abell, on July 2, 2004. She was a member of the Calvar y Apostolic Church in Jasper and sang for the Clyde Ross Band. Karel is sur vived by her husband, Rex Abell; step -daughter, Vanessa (Steven) Landstrom; five grandchil- dren; brother, James (Shari) Case; and sister-in-law, Lana Case. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Pat- rick Case. Ser vices were at 2 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, July 5, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, with visitation from noon until ser vice time. "Bob" Dotter- weich, 50, of Petersburg, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Hear t to Hear t Hospice in Evansville. He was bor n Januar y 8, 1972, in Huntingburg to Raymond and Alice (Up- pencamp) Dotter weich, Sr. He worked as a farm hand per forming mechanical du- ties. He enjoyed camping, fishing, making crosses with cords and potato chip bags. He was a member of Glezen Revival Center.
