She was born on Feb 5, 1937, in Princeton, to Claude and Macie (Sizemore) White, Sr. She had worked at Carny's, Subway and Jenny's Diner, and was a founding member of Liv- ing By Grace Church. She is survived by her chil- dren, Faye (Gary) Dorris and Nancy Runau, both of Prince- ton, Gene (Pat) Burkhart of, Oakland City, Mark (Cheryl) Burkhart, of Owensville, and Bobby (Tammy) McGowan, of Somerville; stepchildren, San- dra Robison, Dave McGowan, Charles McGowan, Cathy Sims, Dale McGowan, Treec- ia McGowan, Dean McGowan, Tomi Jones and Marlin Mc- Gowan; sister, Katie Blaize, of Oakland City; and several grandchildren, great-grand- children, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Marlin Burkhart; stepdaughter, Helen Lamey; stepson, Virgil McGowan; sisters, Arlene Davis and Joan Armstrong; brother, Claude White, Jr.; four infant broth- ers; and husbands, Buck Bur- khart and Dave McGowan. Services were at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2021, at the Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Gene Bur- khart officiating. Burial fol- lowed in Montgomery Cem- etery. PAULINE MAY PRIDE Pauline May Pride, 93 of Washington Court House, Ohio, passed away Friday, De- cember 17, 2021, at 2:24 a.m., surrounded by family, at Ad- ena Medical Center-Chilli- cothe, where she had been a patient since December 6. She was born December 26, 1927, in Otwell, the daughter of James and Ella (Traylor) Pride. A fter graduating from Ot- well High School in 1946 and attending Lockyear's Busi- ness College, she met and married King Donovan Fos- ter on September 6, 1952, in Evansville. She was a hard-working wife and mother that could take any task on, from work- ing in a tomato cannery, to the Evansville Printing Cor- poration, to utilizing account- ing skills at Buckeye Steel and finishing her career for over 25 + years at Select Sires in Plain City, Ohio. She also served as a Cub Scout Den Mother for both of her sons, loved creating ceramic and pottery pieces, enjoyed knit- ting and spending time read- ing. She was a devout member of Epworth Methodist Church in Columbus, Ohio, for many years, until moving to Wash- ington Court House, where she attended St. Andrews Episcopal Church. She is survived by her two sons, Keith (Leah) Foster, of Washington Court House, Ohio, and Kent (Constance) Foster, of Cardington, Ohio; grandchildren, Ryan, Er- ik and Alyson Foster, and Lynn ( Josh) Foster-Dawson; step-grandchildren, Jonathon Moore and Benjamin Blizzard; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, King Foster, on April 24, 2009; and siblings, Hilbert ( Juani- ta) Pride, Maurice (Ginnie) Pride, Lela (Bill) Bigham, Marvin (Ernestine) Pride, Delmer (Frances) Pride, Ron- ald (Margaret) Pride, Walden Pride, Louanna (Lloyd) Yea- ger, Cletus (Candy) Pride and Lorraine Pride (her twin sis- ter); and a step-grandson, Na- than Blizzard. In keeping with her wishes, cremation will be observed, and a Celebration of Life graveside service will be on August 6, 2022, at the Otwell IOOF Cemetery in Otwell. JUDITH K AY WHEATLEY Judith Kay Wheatley, 81, of Montpelier, Ind., passed away peacefully on Thursday, De- cember 16, 2021, at IU Health in Hartford City, Ind. She was born in Petersburg on January 23, 1940, to the late Edward Imel Huffmon and Sarah Sadie Frentress Harker. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church for many years. She enjoyed gar- dening, flowers, cooking, and was a faithful wife and home- maker for 59 years to Arthur, and she enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved the Lord and reading the Bi- ble. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her chil- dren, Galion Edward (Donna) Leighty, of Petersburg, Joyce Rudolph, of Vincennes, San- dra Stoll, of Montpelier, and Roger (Carolyn) Wheatley, of Montpelier; a stepdaughter, Pamela Wheatley, of Terre Haute; a half-sister, Sharon Huffman; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchil- dren. She was joined by her hus- band, Arthur Leroy Wheatley, who passed away three days after her, and was preceded in death by four brothers, Arthur Huffmon, Lowell Huffmon, Roscoe Huffmon and Robert Huffmon; and a sister, Thelma Lee Melvin. Funeral services will be at noon on Wednesday, Decem- ber 29, 2021, at Harris Funer- al Home in Petersburg. Buri- al will follow at Walnut Hills Cemetery. ARTHUR L. WHEATLEY Arthur L. "Bud" Wheatley, 90, of Montpelier, Ind., passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021, at IU Health in Hart- ford City, Ind. He was born on February 5, 1931, in Knox County, to Wil- liam and Sally (Selby) Wheat- ley. He was hardworking, hon- est, loyal and was a faithful fa- ther and friend. He loved Je- sus and his family, and never met a stranger. He was a de- voted and loving husband to his wife, Judy, for 59 years. His interests included watch- ing sports on T V, landscaping and gardening, and tinkering with cars and model trains. He was a man of many tal- ents, a veteran of the U. S. Na- vy, supervisor at Old Ben Coal Company, brakeman with the railroad, mechanic, owner/op- erator at Wheatley's Auto Ser- vice and a caretaker for Wal- nut Hills Cemetery. He was a member of the Free Method- ist Church in Petersburg and a member of the Odd Fellows. He is survived by a sister, Lorrayne Whitehead; daugh- ters, Pamela Wheatley, of Terre Haute, and Sandra Stoll, of Montpelier; son, Roger (Carolyn) Wheatley, of Mont- pelier; stepson, Galion (Don- na) Leighty, of Petersburg; stepdaughter, Joyce Rudolph, of Vincennes; 13 grandchil- dren; 25 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grand- children. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ju- dith Wheatley, on December 16, 2021; brothers, William Wheatley, Jr. and Paul Wheat- ley; and a sister, Lucy Keith. ZACHARY S. ECKERT Zachary S. Eckert, 30, of In- dianapolis, formerly of Jasper, passed away at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at home. He was born in Jasper on Au- gust 9, 1991, to Steven and Di- ane (Michel) Eckert. He was a 2010 graduate of Jasper High School. He then at- tended Indiana University and in December of 2020, received his Juris Doctor degree from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis. He currently worked for the Foundation for Excellence in Education (ExcelinED). Prior to working for the foundation, he served as a policy analyst for the Indiana Senate Majori- ty Caucus, focusing on educa- tion policy, worked as Chair- man and Ranking Member of the Senate Education and Ca- reer Development Commit- tee, and for the Chairman of the Senate School Funding Subcommittee. He was on the board of directors for the Yeti Orphanage. He enjoyed hunting, golf, spending time outdoors, grill- ing and spending time with his friends, traveling, and was an avid sports fan, especially of I.U. basketball. He is survived by his moth- er, Diane (Brian) Jones, of Vel- pen; his father, Steve (Tiffany) Eckert, of Jasper; one brother, Ethan Eckert; stepsister, Dal- las Jones; stepbrother, Mitch- ell Jones; his maternal grand- mother, Doris Michel, of Hunt- ingburg; his paternal grand- parents, Ed and Nancy Eckert, of Jasper; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceding him in death are his maternal grandfather, Ralph Michel; and one cousin, Emily Michel-Mayle. A Memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Decem- ber 23, 2021, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the church.
