He was born in Petersburg on February 21, 1930, to Ken- neth and Sylvia (Peak) McA- tee. He was married to Elsie (Pauw) McAtee for 39 years until her death in 2003. He was a farmer and lifelong member of Union Communi- ty Church. He is survived by seven nieces; three nephews; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John, Fred, Thomas and Keith McA- tee; and sisters, Shirley and Eleanor Biddle. Graveside services were at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Septem- ber 28, 2021, at Union Com- munity (IOOF) Cemetery in Union, with Pastor Kevin Easton officiating. Visitation was from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Tuesday at O.D. Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg. Wyatt, 78, of Jas- per, went to meet the Lord at 4:04 a.m. on Saturday, Sep- tember 25, 2021, at Memori- al Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, surrounded by her children and niece. She was born on May 12, 1943, in Vincennes, to Paul M. and Doris M. (Like) Wells. She married Carl "Bud" Wyatt on November 1, 1963, at Monroe City Presbyterian Church. She was a woman of great Christian faith and had a per- sonal relationship with Jesus Christ, and walked with him daily. This was the corner- stone of her life and she is with Jesus today. Praise God! She graduated from Vin- cennes University as a reg- istered nurse, and held vari- ous positions in hospitals and long-term care facilities. She was an avid fan of IU basketball and Colts football. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. She was a member of East- ern Star. Surviving are two children, Janine (Kelly) Walters, of Leesburg, and Tom Wyatt, of Jasper; two granddaughters, Karly ( Wayne) Noble, of Cin- cinnati, Ohio, and Jenna Wal- ters, of Colorado Springs, Co- lo.; one great-grandson, Wells Noble; and one great-grand- daughter, Evalie Noble; two nephews, Kent (Tricia) and Phillip ( Jody) Claridge, of Pe- tersburg; three nieces, Vickie (Ron) Neveu, of Gilman, Ill., Judy (Terry) McCoy, of Mon- roe City, and Angie (Martin) Dreiman, of Monroe City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl "Bud" Wyatt, on May 20, 2018; her parents; and one brother, Bill Wells. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 1, 2021, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, with Rev. Joe Esarey officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper. DARLA GAE PERRY Darla Gae (Burch) Perry, 60, of Lenoir, N.C., passed away Monday, September 20, 2021. She was born June 6, 1961, in Princeton, to Donald Ray and Delores Ann (Elder) Burch. She is survived by her two daughters, Elisha Nacole Per- ry and Michelle Renee (Per- ry) ( Jon) Conn; two grand- children, two grandchildren, Braxton and Madisyn Conn; two sisters, Dianna Kay (Katy) (Burch) (Mick) Aldridge and Denise Rae Burch; two broth- ers, Donald Kevin (Sher- rie) Burch and Darwin Keith (Theresa) Burch; 19 nieces and nephews; 23 great-nieces and nephews; and one great- great-niece. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Bri- an Perry; her parents, Donald Ray Burch and Delores Ann (Elder) Burch; three sisters, Deanna Mae (Burch) (David) Durfee, Deborah Faye Burch- Vossah and Delia Jae Burch. Services were on Monday, September 27, 2021, in Lenoir, N.C. JANET R AE MORTON Janet Rae Morton, 72, of Evansville, passed away Sep- tember 17, 2021, at Solarbron Point in Evansville. She was born November 2, 1948, to Harold and Glad- ys (Phillips) McClellan in Pe- tersburg. She and her husband, Mi- chael Morton, were married July 17, 1998. She is survived by her hus- band, Michael Morton; broth- ers, Freddy and Teddy Mc- Clellan; and sister, Carolyn Jean Byer. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Brenda and Anna. Services were at 2 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, with Pastor Da- vid Kiegel officiating. Burial followed at Spurgeon Ceme- tery. Visitation was from noon until service time. Harris Fu- neral Home was entrusted with her care. MILDRED L. CARLISLE Mildred "Millie" L. Carlisle, 79, of Arizona, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021. She was born on February 14, 1942, in Morristown, Tenn., to Gladys and Fred Baker. A prolific reader and book collector, avid traveler, NA- SCAR fan, and desert lov- er, she lived life to its fullest. Books expanded her world as a child and she shared that love as a K-12 librarian/teach- er for over 30 years. She was also a member of the Eastern Star. Her greatest achievements were being a loving and sup- portive wife, stepmother, sis- ter and aunt, providing guid- ance and support to students, and traveling to all 50 states by the time she was age 50, as well as Mexico, Japan and China. She was a kind and loving person who will be remem- bered with love and thanks by all those whose life she touched. Some of those who will re- member her are her stepsons, Paul and James Carlisle; step- daughter, Kathleen Hinman, step-granddaughter, Rebecca; step great-grandson, Phoenix; her brother, Howard Baker; his wife, Cheryll; son, Brian; daughter, Amy (Lee); and her nieces, Shapri and Shane Lo- Maglio. Her husband of 51 years, Ir- ving Carlisle, preceded her in death in February 2020. A fter cremation, her ashes will be brought to Cup Creek Cemetery. She was born August 14, 1948, in Petersburg, to Roy- al Stanton and Thelma (Huff- man) Melvin. On May 4, 1991, she mar- ried Joseph Wilson, and he survives. She was a homemaker and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved cook- ing and tending to her flowers. She loved her faithful canine companion, Jagger. Butler, 87, went to her heavenly home on Tues- day, September 21, 2021. Her family was by her side. She was born in Cincinna- ti, Ohio, to Arthur and Virgil (Edwards) Bartesko, on May 29, 1934. She married the love of her life, Joseph M. Butler, on No- vember 19, 1955. They shared their lives and made a home together until Joseph's pass- ing in 2013. She was a homemaker who loved sewing and needlework. She was a fan of the soap op- eras. She was of the Catholic faith and a member of Our La- dy of Hope Catholic Church. Those who are left to cher- ish her memory are her daugh- ters, Sandra Hilgeman, of Ot- well, Marie (Mike) Smith, of Winslow, and Lisa Small, of Washington; her son, Louis (Debbie) Butler, of Washing- ton; a sister, Kate Bades, of Brookville; seven grandchil- dren; and seven great-grand- children. During her lifetime, Audrey mourned the loss of her par- ents, Arthur and Virgil Bartes- ko; and son-in-law, John Hilge- man. Hall, of Winslow, Margaret (Charlie) Burke, of Winslow, Jerry (Pam) Hall, of Creston, Iowa, Marty Hall, of Winslow, Susie Stilwell, of Petersburg, Donnie (Kathie) Hall, of Ber- gen, N.Y., and Eddie (Beverly) Hall, of Oakland City; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and one great-great-nephew. NOBLE MA X PARKE Noble Max Parke, 90, of Beech Grove, passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. He was born on Monday, April 6, 1931, near Lynnville, to Winfrey and Allieen Parke. He attended Spurgeon High School and went on to serve in the United States Army be- fore going to work for West- ern Electric and AT&T. He enjoyed NASCAR, particular- ly the Daytona 500. He is survived by his wife, Lucy Parke, of Beech Grove; children, Marlin (An- gie) Parke, Maurice Parke and Carla (Tony) Marquez; stepchildren, Curtis (Su- san) Burnette, Rodney (Peg- gy) Burnette and Leslie Pin- egar; daughter-in-law, Maria Parke; brothers, Ronnie (San- dy) Parke and Ray (Cheryl) Parke; sisters, Nina Boyer, Rita ( Joe) Huey, Linda (Ter- ry) Liles and Judy Gwaltney; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He worked during his life for the railroad and was a faith- ful member of the Church of God in Otwell. He is survived by his wife, Wilma Joy Hardin; sons, Ricky ( Jackie) Hardin and Rodney Hardin; and grandchildren, Lucas (Taylor) Hardin and Kathryn (Zepfaniah) Curtis. He was preceded in death by his son, Ryan Hardin; broth- ers, Charles, James "Jim," Paul and George Hardin; and his sister, Virginia Meadors. DONALD R AY FOSTER Donald Ray Foster, 78, passed away while at the Da- viess Community Hospital on September 21, 2021. He was born in Alfordsville to Arvel and Glen (Hedrick) Foster on August 5, 1943. He worked as a driver at Ride Solutions. He enjoyed sports, especially basketball and football. He loved going to the White Steamer. He is survived by his chil- dren, Jeff Foster, of Wash- ington, Marsha Parker, of Orleans, and Nicole Halter, of Winslow; a sister, Mable Lamb, of Petersburg; 12 grand- children; and 13 great-grand- children. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arvel and Glen Foster; grandson, Dustin Staggs; great-grandson, Oli- ver Butler; sisters, Sally Got- walls and Mary Lou May; brothers, Bobby, James and Tom Foster; and a half-broth- er, John Foster.
