OMA Student Council members were chosen recently. Third Grader Alivia Dawson came to school as a IU Professor. Her mind is always thinking about her big sister, Au- brie, who is away at In- diana University. Ella Nelson leads the pack coming down the Hall while music played the song "I Wear My Sunglasses" since OMA students future is so bright! Otwell Miller Academy's third grade class patiently waited outside for the arrival of Adam Houchins. Adam Houchins visited Otwell Miller Academy. He was welcomed by two of his nieces welcoming him to their school. Many of the students and staff have sent Adam cards during his recovery. We all look forward to another visit in the future to see all that he's going to accomplish! The fifth grade students participated in a virtual field trip, with a question and answer period, to a dairy farm. Mr. Adam Houchins visited Otwell Miller Academy on September 23, to speak with the students about how to overcome challenges, keep working hard, and never give up. He is an excellent speaker and role model for us! LOCAL GROUPS CLEAN HEADSTONES AT UNION CEMETERY Members of the Pike County Historical and Genealogy Societies, as well as Cradle of Liberty DAR Chapter members, spent the evening cleaning headstones in Union Cemetery. Military headstones were focused on, along with several older stones. The group used D/2 headstone cleaner, which is used in the National Cemeteries.
