Varsity Baseball Good Luck at Sectionals Mills wins Otwell League MVP The Average Joes edged out Team Won 76 -68 to win the 2021 Otwell Men's League Championship this past week. Scott Mills from the Red Angels won the Otwell Men's League MVP by averaging 33.4 points and 7.7 rebounds during the 2021 season. In game one Team Won bettered Hypnotoads 61-49 with Nathan Tid- well scoring 29 points, eight re- bounds and one assist for Team Won. Jaden Hayes had 23 points and eight rebounds for the Hypnotoads. Team, Won beat Busch Bods 65 -37 in game two with Nathan Tidwell scoring 18 points, six rebounds and one assist and JJ Howald scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for Team Won. Jordan Jones had eight points and three re- bounds for the Busch Bods. In game three the Average Joes won over the Hypnotoads 64-47 with Tyler Toopes scoring 26 points and four rebounds for the Average Joes. Jaden Hayes had 24 points, nine re- bounds and two assists for the Hyp- notoads. The Longshots bettered the Busch Bods 66 -39 in game four with Heath Russell scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds for the Longshots. Lu- kas Messmer had 10 points, three re- bounds and two assists for the Bus- ch Bods. In game five the RuNNinRage nipped the Average Joes 47-45 with Tanner Wildridge scoring 17 points and four rebounds. Tyler Toopes had 20 points, three rebounds and one as- sist for the Average Joes. In game six the Tropics beat the Benchwarmers 70 -41 with Chase Bland scoring 21 points and three rebounds and Ricky Alvey adding 17 points and 13 re- bounds. Elliot Prusz scored 11 points and 15 rebounds for the Benchwarm- ers. In game seven the Red Angels won over the Harlem Money 73- 64. Scott Mills had 44 points, 10 re- bounds and three assists for the Red Angels. Dustin Hunt had 17 points, four rebounds and two assists for the Harlem Money. Average Joes claim Otwell Basketball League championship Scott Mills won the 2021 Otwell Men's League MVP award for his play with the Red Angels basketball team. He averaged 33.4 points and 7.7 rebounds. The Average Joes basketball team edged Team Won 76-68 in the 2021 Otwell Men's League Championship. the 4x100 clocking 49 seconds. How- ald placed seventh in the 110 hurdles finals with a time of 18.58. Xavier Shoultz, Shane Woodhull, Dallas Reutepohler and Peyton Chanley were fifth in the 4x800 re- lay with a time of 9:26.07. Trent Zim- merman was 15th in the 400 meter run and Noah Russel was 21st. The team of Fenn McCrary, Braden How- ald, Xavier Shoultz and Noah Russell placed eighth in the 4x400 clocking 4:00.61.
