Born in Cleveland County, he was the son of the late William G. "Pete" Clark and Dorcas Head Clark. He was also preceded in death by brothers, William Jerry Clark, Gary Dean Clark, and Vance Head, and sister Judy Mae Clark Martin. Mr. Clark is survived by his wife, Darlene Wilson Clark; one Son, Michael Steven Clark of Grover, NC; one Daughter, Stephanie Michelle Clark of Grover, NC; and two sisters, Cynthia Anderson (James) of Kings Mountain, NC and Pat Wright (Tam) of Grover, NC Funeral service was held January 12, 2021 at Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel with the Rev. GARY PAUL LUCKADOO Gary Paul Luckadoo, 68, passed away unexpect- edly Thursday January 7, 2021 at Asheville's Mission Memorial hospital due to complications related to the Covid-19 virus. He was the son of the late Joyce Condrey Luckadoo and C. Paul Luckadoo who resides in Ellenboro. Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by his late wife, Pat Luckadoo, and younger brother, Alan Luckadoo. In addition to his father, survivors include four daugh- ters, Ashley L. Thomas and husband, Kenneth of Forest City, Alexandria L. Scarborough of Hickory, Courtney L. Putman and husband, Barry of Marion, and Jordan L. Thomas and husband Jason of Hickory; one brother, Danny Luckadoo and wife, Becky of Shelby; and four grand- children. Old NC 150 Hwy, for- merly of Cherryville, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021 at his residence. He was born November 4, 1947 in Gaston County to the late Dewey and Fannie Hester Sisk. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ervin Sisk, and Ben Sisk; and his sister, Hazeleen. DONNA PAULETTE ENGLISH Donna Paulette English, age 60, of Mooresboro, passed away Monday, January 4, 2021 at Atrium Health Cleveland Hospital in Shelby, NC. She was the daughter of the late Donald Ray and Polly Humphries English and a native of Cleveland County. She is survived by one sister, Lisa Murray (Jeff) and one brother, Reese English (Wendy), The funeral service was held January 16, 2021 at Trinity Baptist Church in Mooresboro with Reverend Chase Robinson and Reverend Travis Laflin officiating. BENNIE RAY CURTIS Bennie Ray Curtis, age 70 passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Atrium Health Cleveland. Born in Nashville, TN he was the son of the late Bennie Lee Curtis and Dorothy Ray Bridges Curtis. Mr. Curtis served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Cynthia Jean Walker. Bennie is survived by his wife, Dorothy Martin Curtis; one daughter, Alicia Black and husband, David; one son, Tyler Curtis; two sisters, Pat Crego and husband, Ron of Cowpens, SC and Eilene Emory and husband, Rick of Kings Mountain; and eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral service was held January 15, 2021 in the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Daryl Eagle and Rev. Barry Goodman officiating. Martha was born in Cleveland County, NC on September 1, 1946, a daugh- ter of the late James Nevit Witherspoon and Annie Belle Sellers Witherspoon. In addition to her par- ents she was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Witherspoon. Survivors include her hus- band, Dennis McCombs of the home; a son, Paul McCombs and wife, Julie of Loves Park, IL; two grand- children; one great grand- daughter; and a brother, Tom Witherspoon of Cherryville. "Bill" Smith and the late Ethel Jenelle "Nelle" Smith and a native of Cleveland County. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Millard Keith Smith.
