Jackson, 71, died Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at Testa Family Hospice House in Kings Mountain. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Howard "Pete" and Catherine Hollifield Jackson. Marvin worked at PPG, Eaton, and retired with the NC Department of Corrections, as a security officer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Glenn Jackson. He is survived by his daughters, Lori Jackson of Shelby and Valerie Watson and husband Randy of Charlotte; and granddaugh- ters, Jessica and Jennifer Watson. Cheryl was born September 8, 1964 in Thomasville, NC to Mary Elizabeth Boone Bridges who resides in Rutherfordton and the late Gene Bridges. In addition to her moth- er, those left to cherish her memory include her son, Shane Teseniar (Karen) of Ellenboro; daughter, Tommy Elaine Smith of Ellenboro; granddaughter, Lacey Elizabeth Smith; brother, Brian Bridges (Angela) of Union Mills and nephew, Austin Bridges. SHELBY JEAN WILSON Shelby Jean Wilson, age 82, of Forest City, passed away, Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills. Shelby was born August 17, 1937 in Rutherford County to the late James David Horton and Stella Mae Bowens Horton. In addition to her parents, JAMES PINKNEY "PINK" WALKER James Pinkney "Pink" Walker, 84 of Casar, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2020 at Atrium Health - Cleveland. Born in Rutherford County, on May 7, 1936, he was the son of the late Joseph Cletus Walker and Minnie Geanette Davis Walker. Mr. Walker was a mem- ber of Olive Grove Baptist Church where he served as chairman of the deacons and a former Sunday school teacher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Worth and Paul Walker and a sister, Ruth Walker Cook. Survivors include his wife of 60 1/2 years, Betty Alexander Walker; a son, Chris Walker and wife, Renea of Cherryville; a daughter, Freda W. Chapman and husband, Michael of Crouse; two broth- ers, Wayne Walker and JC Walker both of Casar; three sisters, Katherine Sansing of Shelby, Edith Brackett of Polkville and Dean Toney of Maryland; three grand- children, Nathan Chapman and wife, LeeAnna, Chelsea Chapman and fiancé, Brandon Todd and Bethany Chapman and fiancé, Seth Smith and one great-grand- daughter, Maelyn Chapman. A native of Dickson, TN, he was the son of the late Robert and Mary Petty Murphree. Steve served in the US Navy, and retired from the Navy Reserves. Born in Cleveland County on March 7, 1936, he was the son of the late Burgin Thomas and Madge Corrine Greene Gibbs. Arnold served in the United States Army where he served as an assistant chap- lain. In 1973, he bought Greene's Jewelry store and renamed it Arnold's Jewelry Store. In addition to his parents, Arnold is preceded in death by three brothers, Tom ROBERT LEE VINSON, JR. Mr. Robert Lee Vinson, Jr., 54, of Lawndale, NC passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2020 in Lawndale. He was born in Cleveland County, NC on March 15, 1966 to Robert Lee Vinson, Sr. and Lucy Johnson Vinson. He was employeed with PPG Industries of Shelby, NC for 33 years. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Vinson; a nephew, Bobby G. Woody, III; paternal grandpar- ents, Samuel and Mozella Clements Vinson Grimes; and maternal grandparents, John Henry Johnson and Sue Bell Lumpkin Johnson.
