Born in Cleveland County, NC on May 23, 1954 the daughter of the late Jack Leonard McCurry and Myrtle Blanche Mayhue McCurry. She worked as a Security Guard for Kemet in Shelby and was a member of Way of the Cross Freewill Baptist Church in Shelby. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Rodney Keith Goins and two brothers, Pete and Bruce McCurry. Survivors include her husband of 33 years Toy Allen Robbins of the home; a son, Christopher Robbins of Shelby; a daughter- in-law, Stephanie Goins of Lawndale; two broth- ers, Ronnie McCurry of Shelby; Tony McCurry of Mooresboro; six grandchil- dren, Krista Brooke Goins, Evan Walker, Makaylia Goins Camp, Makeylia Goins, Montania Goins and Cameron Goins; two great grandchildren, Aylanna Elmore and Keylanna Campbell. A private graveside ser- vice will be held at Rose Hill Memorial Park with the Revs. Alan Sailors and Doug Mathis. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice. CHERYL DOBBINS CABINESS Cheryl Dobbins Cabiness, age 58, of Forest City, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 29, 2020. Cheryl was born December 3, 1961 in Rutherford County to the late Pete Dobbins and Donna Owens Dobbins. She was a graduate of East Rutherford High School, class of 1981 and earned an Associates Degree from Isothermal Community College. Cheryl worked at Cone Mill-Cliffside Plant and as a CNA at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. She enjoyed sewing, crafts and gardening. Cheryl was a gifted artist and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Mooresboro. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Kimberly Parker. Those left to cherish her memory include her hus- band or thirty years, Neal Cabiness; five children, Brandy Michele Hanson of Hendersonville, Tiffany Vibbert (Brian) of Forest City, Celeste Smith (Austin) of Forest City, Sarah Cook (Bryce) of Anchorage, Alaska and Jason Cabiness (Stephanie) of Anchorage; two sisters, Wanda McCraw (Ricky) of Gaffney, Rhonda White (Rodney) of Pacolet, SC and brother, Monty Dobbins of Hickory. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Madison Morrow, Alexus Wilkins, Hayden Cook, Ashley Cook, Eligah Cook, Zoe Cabiness, Oaklynn Vibbert and Anora Smith. A private service will be conducted to celebrate Cheryl's life with Reverend Tim Frashier officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery. EVELYN LORRAINE ALLSEP NICHOLSON Gaffney- Evelyn Lorraine Allsep Nicholson, 95, of 914 Ninth Street, passed away on Wednesday, April 29th, 2020, at her home. Born in Pickens, she was the widow of Marvin Eugene Nicholson and the daughter of the late John and Harriett Jeanette Leopard Allsep. Mrs. Nicholson formerly worked as a beautician and as cafeteria manager for the Cherokee County School District and was a mem- ber of Buford Street United Methodist Church. She loved baking, cooking, and spending time with her fam- ily. Evelyn was a graduate of Gaffney High School and she was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Surviving Mrs. Nicholson is a daughter, Nancy Nicholson Ramsey, of Gaffney; a daughter-in-law, Denise Parker Nicholson, of Gaffney; four grandchildren, Bob Humphries and wife, Tammy, of Gaffney, Kristi Humphries Bell and hus- band, Mike, of Blacksburg, Mandy NIcholson Fulton and husband, Paul, of Homerville, GA, Joey Nicholson and wife, Ana, of Indian Trail, NC; and six great-grandchildren, Wesley Humphries of Greenwood, Emily and Mara Grace Bell of Blacksburg, Caroline and Harper Fulton of Homerville, GA, and Jessica Ramsey of Inman, SC. She was preceded in death by her husband, par- ents, and a son, Michael Allan Nicholson. Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 2nd, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Oakland Cemetery with Rev. Paul Fulton, Chaplain Mike Bell, and Rev. Dave Nichols officiating. The family will receive friends at the cem- etery following the service. Joey Nicholson, Wesley Humphries, Mitch Garrett, Cecil Bell, Scott Matthews, and Walter Welch will serve as pallbearers. SANDRA H. CAMP Sandra H Camp, 78, passed away unexpectedly on April 27, 2020. Sandra was born on August 4, 1941 in Shelby, NC and spent many years there until she moved to Atlanta in 1980. From there, she moved to Washington State to live with her son for 7 years until they all returned to Shelby in 2002. Sandra was an avid movie fan, an animal lover, and a proud member of the Shelby High School class of 1959. She was a strong person who dearly loved her family, and brought joy to many people. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Vida Henderson. She is survived by her sister Michal, brother in law Neil Wilson, as well as her son Robert, his wife Lori and grandchildren Liam and Caitriona. She leaves behind a loving group of extended family and friends who will miss her dearly. There will be no service at this time.
