C-2 Church Wednesday, December 25, 2019 The Press-Dispatch Continued from page 1 Continued on page 3 Continued in next column Continued in next column " Don't get any ideas fat guy, I'm not pulling that sleigh." This week, PAWS is fea- turing a sassy, young gal named Dixie Rose. Dixie, like most Jack Russells, is a happy, excitable dog. She loves people, bonds very easily, is very asser- tive, quick-witted, and has a short, smooth coat of white fur with black mark- ings. She is definitely a big dog in a small body. Dixie Rose needs a home without cats, as she is not fond of them. She is approximately one and a half years old. To adopt Dixie Rose, call 812-354- 9894. All the animals at the shelter would like to wish you and yours a very Mer- ry Christmas. PAWS WEEK PAWS WEEK Pet of the DIXIE ROSE Baptist Catholic Lutheran one is fighting some kind of battle. "Finally, brethren, what- ever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatev- er is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things" (Phi- lippians 4:8). So many times we think about what went wrong or what we should have said or done, with our focus on the wrong things. Instead of try- ing to remake the past, we should be on the lookout for things matching the de- scription above in order to encourage others to contin- ue in them, for they glorify God. They tell of the char- acter of Christ, our perfect focus. May the Lord be with you this season and always. So many trials come in- to our lives and along with the business of life. These things can easily choke out the Life of God in us. But praise God, "But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things will be added unto you" (Matthew 6:33). What things will be add- ed? God's order back into our lives—a peace that pass- es all understanding—He is in control. Facebook: White River Chapel UMC, Jeff Pinney.
