Sam Theising won the 100 backstroke in 1:10.47, and the 200 freestyle relay team of Burkhart, Kirby, Burdette and Henson won in 1:55.71. "The boys were able to string several first and sec- ond-place finishes togeth- er and came out with a big win in this triangular meet," Cochren said. "The girls fell to some strong performanc- es from both South Spen- cer and Southridge, but we are seeing good results and some improvements in team and individual scores across the board with both boys' and girls' teams." Meyer, the defending PAC champ in diving, won the one meter diving competi- tion with a score of 190.95. PCHS GIRLS EDGE EVANSVILLE CENTRAL BY ONE POINT The Pike Central girls' also hosted Evansville Cen- tral and Evansville Bosse on Tuesday, Dec. 10. The Lady Chargers won with a team score of 127, Central has 126 and Bosse finished with 44. "We had several high fin- ishes throughout the night that kept us just ahead of Central," Cochren said. "We also had two girls step up big tonight in Lilly Fred- erick-Rice and Morgan Sal- lee. They swam the 100 -yard butterfly, which we haven't had anyone swim in a meet yet this season. Their finish- es in this event were a de- termining factor in the out- come of the meet. Had they not competed in this event and finished where they did, we would not have been able to edge out Central." McKinney easily won the 100 breaststroke in 1:25.76. She finished nearly seven seconds ahead of teammate Shelby Keeker, who was sec- ond in 1:32.55. Dudenhoeffer won the 200 individual medley in 2:58.35 and Meyer won the one meter diving with a score of 192.45. "Jenna Meyer was back on top of the podium in div- ing with several very good dives," Cochren said. "It was a great meet and a very good win for our girls."
