A former Oakland City restaurant manager was arrested on a charge of stealing more than $ 36,000 from the owner of Mom's Diner in Oak- land City. Indiana State Police De- tective Tobias Odom ini- tiated a criminal investi- gation on August 30 af- ter receiving information from the restaurant own- er regarding a significant amount of missing money. Roger Norrick, 54, of Oak- land City, was the restau- rant manager and respon- sible for calculating daily sales and making nightly deposits. A fter an investi- gation, Det. Tobias alleges Norrick stole more than $ 36,000 between January and August 2019. A fter reviewing this in- vestigation, Gibson Coun- ty Prosecutor's Office is- sued a warrant for Nor- rick's arrest. He was ar- rested at 10 :40 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27 at his Oakland City residence without in- cident. Norrick was tak- en to the Gibson County Jail, where he is currently being held on a charge of theft, a level 6 felony. The seventh grade won 25 -20, 25 -18, with Hanna Lecocq hav- ing six consecutive serves. The eighth grade bettered the Lady Patriots 25 -9, 25 - 15, with Briley Rowe serv- ing a total of 25 times, with 16 and nine consecutive serves, with 12 aces. Wood Memorial seventh grade claimed a 25 -5, 25 -9 win over the Owensville La- dy Kicks last Tuesday. The eighth grade won 25 -18, 25 - 12, with Keeli Hutchinson serving 13 consecutive, with six aces. Tecumseh had a close win over the seventh grade in sets of 25 -23, 20 -25, 8 - 15. The eighth grade lost their road trip 25 -8, 25 -15. Last Thursday, Holy Trini- ty claimed a 25 -8, 25 -16 win over the seventh grade La- dy Trojans, but the eighth grade came from an 18 -25 beginning to nip Trinity 25 - 24 and 15 -13. GOT SCHOOL NEWS?
