Local po- diatrists from Foothills Podia- try, PA joined NC Speaker of the House of Representatives Tim Moore, Senator Ted Al- exander and Representative Kelly Hastings at the North Carolina General Assembly in Raleigh, NC on April 3, 2019. Local podiatrists, Dr. Jeff Mauney and Dr. Ron Mas- karinec, in conjunction with representatives from the North Carolina Foot and An- kle Society arrived for "White Coat" day. Our local lobbyist, Debbie Clary assisted with arrangements between the representatives and the NC Foot and Ankle Society at the celebration. The importance of the vis- it was to remind legislature about the importance of po- diatric services to the citizens of the state of North Carolina. Podiatrist state wide are cam- paigning for public awareness and increase in liscencure fees.
