Postcards this week at Sweets Column Winslow, IN 47598 are one! Postcard # 654 is an aeri- al at night view of many tall buildings all lit up every- where, because this town is called the City of Lights that is Las Vegas. It can be seen on this postcard also because there is glitter on streets, bridges, lots of ca- sinos and even the Las Ve- gas is written in glitter. On the back it reads, "Hi Sweets, We are out here in Las Vegas attending the Na- tional Finals Rodeo. It's awe- some this is the Super Bowl of the Rodeo World. We have also went to a very big trade show called Cow- boy Christmas. You name it in the Cowboy World and they sell it at this event. Take care, Max and Cheryl Carlisle Stendal, Ind. Max and Cher- yl, the Las Vegas postcard # 654 really looks great to see how big this town is, and we are really thrilled to know there is something for the rodeo world and that Cowboy Christmas must have been thrilling to see. Winslow Patoka River is over its banks but not too bad to flood some areas. Yards are still wet in spots cause when Norm and I came back from getting some wood, we drove in that damp spot and got stuck. It was Wayne who came to our rescue to pull us out, and we also thank Ram- bo for the wheel barrow to haul the rest of the wood to the cabin. People are still helpful, as we were waiting to pay the wood guy and we were ready to leave so we left our payment with a kind gen- tleman who was also waiting for him, so thanks for your kind- ness. The holes are dug for the porch and now we can't wait to set it up and then attach the steps and start enjoy- ing our new addition to the cabin. Well the lights are about to dim for this week's ram- blings, but to everyone have a very Merry Christmas with family. As you trav- el the roads enjoy all the yards decorated and stay safe. Keep an eye on family and friends and please slow down, always smile, wave and say Hi to everyone you see this week. Merry Christ- mas! Happy New Year! Call for your auction needs.
