B-4 Sports Wednesday, December 26, 2018 The Press-Dispatch did some good things, and even at Southridge, same as tonight – the final score doesn't really indicate what the game was. At South- ridge, we were down three with two minutes to go in the first half, and then they go on a 10 -0 run. I think it's a 10 -point game at the end of the third, and they real- ly kind of put it on us in the fourth, kind of similar to this one." "Tonight, we played two- and-a-half really good quar- ters of basketball, and the other night, we played may- be one and a half," Elliott added. "So we've just got to keep getting better." For Vincennes Lincoln, Bushey came off the bench to score all 17 of his points in the second half while grab- bing seven rebounds. Hop- wood – who dished out a game-high four assists – and senior Braydon Robb added six points each. For the game, the Alices made 22 of 44 field goal at- tempts – a 50 percent aver- age – and hit 11 of 15 tries from the free throw line while turning the ball over 13 times. Vincennes Lincoln fared little better than the Char- gers from three-point range, hitting just one of 12 at- tempts. Pike Central will return to action on Thursday, Dec. 27, when the Chargers will take on Clay City in the first round of the Old National Bank Holiday Tournament at North Daviess. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m. The eight-team tourna- ment continues on Friday, time of 2:12.62, and in the 100 -yard backstroke with a time of 1:10.40 ; and Theis- ing in the 500 -yard freestyle with a time of 6:28.07. Placing third in individual events for the Chargers were Boyd in the 100 -yard free- style with a time of 1:08.86; Hill in the 200 -yard freestyle with a time of 2:32.89, and in the 500 -yard freestyle with a season-best time of 6:58.35, beating his previous sea- son-best time of 6:59.60 ; Rus- sell in the 100 -yard breast- stroke with a time of 2:02.45; and Theising in the 50 -yard freestyle with a time of 28.25 seconds. Placing fourth in an indi- vidual event for the Chargers was Russell in the 50 -yard freestyle with a time of 36.15 seconds. Pike Central will return to action on Monday, Jan. 7, when the Chargers will host Gibson Southern and North- east Dubois.
