We tested to see which factors affected the Or- beez the most. Students had to create a "Claim, Evidence, Reasoning" paper based on the exper- iment. Left: For Drug Awareness and Prevention Week, OMA had a Wacky Hair Day. Students pledged to say NO to drugs. (Drugs make you do wacky and bad things. Wacky hair is good. Drugs are bad. DON'T DO DRUGS.) Right: Pre-K and Kindergarten trick or treat- ed us during our Halloween party. Each little one received candy. Grade 5 had cupcakes, Kool-Aid Coolers and watched "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown." Aiden Dupont and Malachi Barrett hold up their nature walk finds. Mrs. Smith's class went on a nature walk around the playground. Bryson Baxter, Kameron Schwindt and Blake Wellmeyer work on the pumpkin launcher STEM project for Mrs. Henson's class. Mr. Bob Douglas got a big thank you card from Ms. Craig's first grad- ers. The second graders in Mrs. Henson's class had to assemble a launcher using specific items. Over the last few weeks, OMA has developed an art club at morning recess time. The art club is awesome. Above and both left: OMA fifth graders create posters based on the short story "Ten Mile Day." They could create an interview, want ad, summa- ry with pictures, story in picture form, cartoon... their choice. MENU Thursday, November 15: Chuck Wagon - Country fried steak, mashed pota- toes with gravy, buttered corn and diced pears. Friday, November 16: Trail Ride - BBQ pork, roll, Au Gratin potatoes, baked bean, sidekick sherbet and a cookie. Monday, November 19: Two cheesy breadsticks, marinara sauce steamed cauliflower and tropical fruit. Tuesday, November 20 : Thanksgiving Lunch - Tur- key and gravy, mashed po- tatoes, buttered peas, roll, fruit and holiday cake. Wednesday, November 21: NO SCHOOL - Thanks- giving Break.
