Basic Medic First Aid® with AED- Jasper, Medic First Aid® with AED (au- tomated external defibrillator) is a ba- sic training course in emergency care designed for use in the business/indus- trial setting. Cardiopulmonary resusci- tation (CPR), AED use, and other im- portant emergency care skills are com- bined into this course, which allows the graduate to function with one consis- tent set of priorities in a medical emer- gency. Students learn the same priori- ties of care and approach to the patient used by professionals. This approach results in a continuity of care as the pa- tient is passed on to the EMT, nurse, and doctor. Successful completion of the course means the student has acquired these skills, understands the dangers of an emergency scene and how to evaluate them, and understands the use of pro- tective barriers. Taught by nationally certified instructors, the course satis- fies OSHA requirements for industry and business. A Medic First Aid® with AED course will be offered Thursday, November 15, from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. in the Health and Wellness Classroom at Memorial Southside Office, 1100 West 12th Ave- nue in Jasper. PEACE of MIND Let our 130 years of experience aid you in your selection of a meaningful memorial. SCHUM MONUMENTS, INC. Dale, Indiana www.SchumMonuments.com 812-937-4921 Local Representative RONALD WOODS 812-789-2009 Every woman's breasts are different , just like every flower is different . Having dense breasts is normal. It just means your breasts have more tissue than fat . Dense breasts make a woman up to six times more likely to develop breast cancer. And they make it challenging to detect cancer with a standard mammography exam. Now at Good Samaritan's Breast Care Center, the Invenia ™ ABUS (Automated Breast Ultrasound System improves cancer detection by 35% over mammography in women with dense breasts. Using 3D ultrasound, it looks at dense breasts differently to find cancer that mammography may not see. It's relatively comfortable, and it doesn't expose you to any additional radiation. The result: More confidence and peace of mind for you. Mammograms alone may not be enough to find breast cancer. 66HYHQWK6WUHHW_9LQFHQQHV,1 _JVKYLQRUJ NOW OFFERING AUTOMATED BREAST ULTRASOUND FOR WOMEN WITH DENSE BREASTS ERNIE JOHNS Ernie Johns, 68, of Winslow, passed away on Nov. 11, 2018, in Lexing- ton, Ky.
