These seminars have been very successful and many have continued to ask if others will be held in the near future. Therefore, in conjunction with the McIntyre Law Firm, a "Lunch & Learn" event on writing a will is set to be repeated. As it has been said previously, having a will is one of the most valuable documents a person can have. A will gives the individual the freedom to make their final wishes known and how they would like their estate handled. Having a will gives you and your family solid peace of mind, knowing that the arrangements are made when the time comes. However, many people are unsure about how to go about writing a will. A number of legal rules must be followed so that person composing their will is understood. There are even some "do's and don'ts" when it comes to composing a will. You may have questions such as-- Can you write you own will without a lawyer? Can you written wishes be over- ridden? Who should know I have a will? All of these questions can be answered at this "Lunch & Learn" event. It will be offered at the Neal Senior Center through Greg McIntyre, Elder Law Attorney, on Wednesday, August 22, beginning at 10:30am. Lunch will follow in the Neal Senior Center Cafeteria at no charge. Greg and his staff will be on hand to guide you through the process of writing a will and how to avoid any potential problems that could arise. They will also be able to explain the legalities of having a will versus not having one. The seminar is free, but seating is limited to the first 20 registrants. If there is an overflow of interested participants once the seating has filled, another class will be offered at a future time to be announced. To reserve a place, please call the Neal Senior Center at 704/482-3488. Writing a will Tai-Chi for Health "Tai-Chi", pronounced, "(Tie-Chee) is a form of exercise that incorporates dance movements with exercise to create an active, fun and healthful type of physical activity! It is grown in popularity in this country over the last few years and it appeals to both men and women alike. It is also a great way to get your exercise in a way that is not hard or a drudgery. The Neal Senior Center has been offering classes in "Tai- Chi" for quite sometime now and is starting a new class, "Tai- Chi for Health". This class will meet Wednesday mornings from 9:30-10:30am. There is a cost of $15 for six weeks' worth of instruction. Toni Heberlig, certified instructor in "Tai-Chi", teaches the class. That is a true bargain to get exercise and have fun at the same time! Once fifteen students register for the class, a date and time for the class will be announced. For further information, you may call Toni directly at 704/297-0901. If she is unavailable, please leave your name and phone number so that she may return your call. www. www.NealSeniorCenter.org NealSeniorCenter.org Monday-Thursday 8 AM-5PM Monday-Thursday 8 AM-5PM Friday 8 AM-1PM Friday 8 AM-1PM 704-482-3488 704-482-3488 What...
