Mrs. Lingerfeldt was the daughter of the late John Etters and Pratt Harmon Etters and was preceded in death by her husband, Cline B. Lingerfeldt; her brothers, Zeb Etters, Rufus Etters and Thomas Etters; and her sis- ter, Eunice Thornburg. She is survived by her niece and nephews. Funeral services were held at Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel. Internment was held at Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC. KENNETH LAYTON GRIFFITH Mr. Kenneth Layton Griffith, age 87, of Shelby, NC, went to be with the Lord on July 20, 2018. Mr. Griffith was preced- ed in death by his parents, Milton P. and Edna P. Griffith. He served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps. Mr. Griffith is sur- vived by his wife, Dorothy Avent Griffith, of Shelby, NC, previously of Courtland, VA and was pre- ceded in death by his wife, M. Ruth Griffith. He is also survived by four daughters, Mary G. Rivers (Phillip) of Bassett, VA, Karan R. Cofer (Richard) of Portsmouth, VA, Anita M. Griffith of Norfolk, VA, and Dee P. Greene (Kevin) Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family. HARVEY IVO HOYLE Mr. Harvey Ivo Hoyle, age 89, of Lawndale, NC, passed away on July 20, 2018. Mr. Hoyle was preced- ed in death by his parents, Clem and Lola Hoyle; and four brothers and a sister. He is survived by his wife, Norma Lee Toney Hoyle; three sons, Richard "Sonny" Hoyle of Lawndale, Greg Hoyle of Casar, and Freddie Hoyle of Lawndale; two daughters, Vickie Kelley of Lawndale, and Robin Cobb of Lawndale; and eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. The funeral was held in the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel. The burial followed the service in the Rose Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Dedmon was preced- ed in death by her husband, William F. (Bill) Dedmon and her parents, Arthur Lee and Lesta Eskridge Spangler. She is survived by her son, Donald Gene Dedmon, Sr. and wife, Delores of Shelby; and two daughters, Krista Dedmon Kustra and husband, Bob of Greenville, SC and Jan Dedmon Elder and husband, Mike of Macon, NC; seven grand- children and twelve great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she is pre- ceded in death by one great grandson; and four broth- ers, Arthur Lee Spangler, Jr., Hershel Spangler, Worth Spangler and Sammy Spangler. In addition to his moth- er, Brandon is survived by his daughters, Nollyanna, Keely, and Maddie Chesnee, Carissa, and Alexa; his sis- ters, Cierra Chesnee and Ashley Williams; and his brothers, Matt Grissom and Bobby Chesnee.
