OBITUARIES NFO INFO From Page 13 BRENDA ALLEN RAMSEY Brenda Allen Ramsey, age 75 of Stanley, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018. She was the daughter of Emma Ruth Smith Allen of Gastonia and the late John C. Allen Jr. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jared C. Ramsey. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, John Allen Davis and wife, Millie of Cragford, AL; daugh- ter, Jerri Allana Bryson and husband, Buster of Shelby; sister, Linda Allen Cardin and husband, Bill of Dallas; and five grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Shady Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. KENNETH WAYNE LINGERFELT Kenneth Wayne Lingerfelt, 83, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on July 26, 2018. He was a son of the late Hal Brenard Lingerfelt and Maggie E. Boyles Lingerfelt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Peggy Houser Lingerfelt. Survivors include three daughters, Joy Hunt and husband Phil of Vale; Vicky Lingerfelt of Vale and Penny Hennessee and husband Jeffery of Bessemer City; one grandchild and one great- grandchild; a sister, Joan L. Mylton and husband, John of Port Saint Lucie, Florida and two brothers, Carroll Lingerfelt and Hal Lingerfelt both of Vale Funeral services were held at Bess Chapel United Methodist Church. He was the husband of Wilma Talley McDowell and the son of the late Claude McDowell and Daisy Epson McDowell. In addition to his wife, Mr. McDowell is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Eubanks (John) and Brenda Armstrong (Alan); two sisters, Barbara Blackmon and Ellon Bridges; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Claude McDowell, Gene McDowell, and Raymond McDowell, and his sisters, Eula Bowen and Dorothy McDowell. Funeral services were held at J.
