He was the husband of Sarah Hicks Hawkins and son of James and Linda Willis Hawkins of Blacksburg. Left to cherish his memory, in addition to his wife and parents, are two sons, Dylan Hawkins of Blacksburg and Clint Davis of Gaffney; three daughters, Jadah Porter (Cody), Jadye Jones and Anna Hawkins all of Gaffney; two broth- ers, Gary Moore (Jennifer) of Blacksburg and Todd Smith (Star) of Shelby, NC; two sisters, Lizzy Hawkins of the home and Aleta Crowe (Dustin) of Lincolnton, NC; mother-in-law, Margaret Hicks of Anderson. The Gore Family of White Columns is serving the fam- ily. CHARLES "CHARLIE" EDWARD HUMPHRIES Mr. Charles "Charlie" Edward Humphries, age 76, of Cherryville, NC, passed away. Born May 8, 1942 in Cleveland County, he was the son of the late T.O. and Rosie Humphries. Mr. Humphries served our country in the US Air Force. In addition to his parents, he is prede- ceased by his daughter-in- law, Wendy Greene and five brothers and two sisters. Survivors include his wife, Loretta Humphries; children, Adele McCracken (David) of Lawndale, NC, John Greene (Lora) of Lawndale, NC, Chad Humphries, Greg Kinney (Lynn) and Nikkie Reulecke (Austin) of Boiling Springs, NC; twelve grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; and brothers, Garland Humphries (Jean) of Shelby, NC and Scott Humphries of Shelby, NC. She was born on March 22, 1953, in Shelby, NC. Her parents are Shirley Whitaker Fisher and the late Bob Fisher. Mrs. Payseur is survived by her husband, Mickey Payseur; Ben Payseur (son) and wife, Jennifer of Conover, NC; Jenny Emerson (daugh- ter) and husband, Brian of Cherryville, NC; six grand- children; and Shirley W. "Bill" Dysart, age 85, of Caroleen, NC, passed away on July 23, 2018. Mr. Dysart was the son of the late Beaulo Dysart and Eldaree Owens Dysart. He served our country in the U.S. Air Force and served during Korean War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doshie Smart Dysart; three broth- ers, B.J. Dysart, Bobby E. Dysart, Donald N. Dysart . Those left to cherish his memory include three sisters, Mattie Lackey of Forest City, Hazel Appling or Rutherfordton, Helen Ricks of Gastonia. The funeral service was held at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel. Interment followed in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery with military honors. Continued From Page 11 ABBY GAIL MCMINN INGLE Mrs. Abby Gail McMinn Ingle, age 52, of Lake Lure, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 1, 2018. Born on May 16, 1966, she was the eldest daugh- ter of Helen Kilcrease of Graham, NC and the late Charley McMinn. She also was predeceased by her hus- band, William (Bill) Carroll Ingle; and two sister-in-laws, Lynda Rigdon and Susan McMinn. Mrs. Ingle is survived by two daughters, Stacey Dixon (Chad) of Rutherfordton, NC, Tiffany Miller of Mills Spring, NC; one step-son, Bryan Ingle (Rebecca) of Bethel, NC; and one step-daughter, Marti Ingle of Waynesville, NC; and twelve grandchil- dren. She is survived by three sisters, Janet Pore of Snow Camp, NC, Anna Myers (Bill) of Gibsonville, NC, Cathy Millikan (Mike) of Graham, NC; one brother, Charlie McMinn of Burlington, NC; and two brother-in-laws, Randy Ingle (Marilyn) of Green Creek, NC and Ricky Ingle (Debbie) of Clyde, NC. DONALD RAY NICHOLAS Mr. Donald Ray Nicholas, of Mooresboro, NC, born to Paris and Ethel Nicholas on July 8th 1946, went to be with his Lord on July 2, 2018. He is predeceased by his wife, Mildred Beckett Nicholas; son, Robert Nicholas; two brothers; and two sisters. He is survived by his son, Michael Banks; daughters, Elizabeth Dover and Angel Carpenter; brother, Tommie Carpenter; sisters, Brenda Martin and Carolyn Martin; and two granddaughters and two great-grandchildren. MABRY "MUTT" BOWMAN Mr. Mabry "Mutt" Bowman, age 93, of Shelby, NC, passed away on July 25, 2018. A native of Cleveland Co., he was born to the late Joe and Emma Thornton Bowman. Mr. Bowman served our country in the US Navy and was a World War II vet who was on the beaches of Normandy on D-Day. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Terry Bowman; a grandson; two brothers; and five sisters.
