The result was a resounding 35-10 Greater Metro Conference high school football victory over Brookfield East. It was a game in which the Lancers scored on all four of their first-half possessions to help ease the year-long pain of a 37-14 loss to the Spartans last season – their biggest loss of the season. "We knew that we were going to come out and battle after what happened last year," senior quarterback Riley Richarz said. "We got thrown around last year so this was a statement game." A 34-31 overtime loss to Menomonee Falls a week before facing East further fueled Central's intensity. "We had so many things coming together: Last season, last week, just so much," senior running back Demario Harris said. "We had something to show." And it showed. Richarz ran for 169 yards and threw for another 69 on 3-for-4 accuracy while scoring two touchdowns. Harris picked up 57 yards Robert F. "Our goal was to contain (Zach) Damico and to keep No. 4 (senior Will Sutton) under control," Central coach Jamie Meulemans said. "We attained those goals. I was very proud of the way our defense played." And for good reason. Along with the blocked punt, Central forced and recovered three fumbles, and senior Tevin Melton returned an interception 99 yards for his team's final touchdown midway through the fourth quarter. Richarz ran the final 7 yards to cap a 10-play, 70yard scoring drive on the game's opening possession. Barb was searching for a way to bring her 92-year-old mother back to her home, but also to receive the care she needed. Barb preferred putting her mother's money toward Comfort Keepers, where her mother would be helped at home — a place she felt happy and comfortable. Comfort Keepers responded by providing two live-in caregivers per week. "Transfer assistance was necessary but within a week of tender loving care and good meals, Mom was up walking on her own," Meller said. That's what this senior care business is all about, she added. "It's about quality of living and providing the best care to allow a senior to live in the comfort of their own home. All of our caregivers speak English and Comfort Keepers pays all necessary employment taxes. We are involved with the family and oversee our employees so we can respond to the ever changing needs of the senior." Why Comfort Keepers? Comfort Keepers' creed "to treat each and every client as if they are a family member," best matched local Comfort Keeper's franchise Shar Meller's own philosophy and Christian values. According to Shar, each caregiver has been screened, bonded, insured and trained with credit, motor vehicle and criminal background checks performed. Bonding insurance gives their clients peace of mind and takes away the fear of having a new person enter the home. national owners. Connor Allen after a drive of five minutes and 27 seconds stalled at Central's 5yard line. Two plays later Richarz darted 80 yards for a score, Central's defense held and the Lancers embarked on another long drive – 75 yards in 11 plays taking 4:55 off the clock with junior Matt Patterson scoring on a 2-yard run. After East failed for the second straight time to secondhalf fumbles were at Central's 31- and 19- yard line, and the interception came on a second-andgoal from Central's 7-yard line. East's defense allowed touchdowns on all four of Central's first-half possessions and forced only two punts in the game. "I was very disappointed in our defense," Swittel said. "It was embarrassing. We have no margin for error." Join us for a Thanksgiving Brunch!
