Nearly 150 guests attended this year's event, which was cochaired by the Reynoldses, Chris and Ann Quick, and Guy and Dede Snowden. The honorees were Jack and Suzy Welch. Big Fish, Bigger Cause On June 21 and 22, the Schwartz Center for Children hosted its annual Fishing for a Cause catch-and-release tournament, based at Pope's Island Marina in New Bedford. The charity tournament raised close to $90,000 and concluded with a seaside dinner by Pepper's Fine Catering, with music provided by Santa Mamba. Trophies and prizes were awarded to anglers with the largest fish in three categories: striped bass, bluefish, and fluke. Jay Stoebel topped the charts with the largest striped bass and largest fluke, while Jay Lanagan hooked the biggest bluefish of the day.
