Postcard time On the front of postcard #588 is the Sunshine State of Florida with red dots showing where several of its cities are located. The postcard also has different items that some cities are noted for like oranges, crags, pink flamingos, tourism, palm trees, dolphins, sailing, beautiful flowers, shells, manatees, beaches of white sand, sand dollars, the Gulf of Mexico, the Atlantic Ocean, and much, much more. One spot is circled and that is Tampa. On the back it reads: Visiting our mom, Sue Cockerham in Largo, FL (Tampa). Having a nice time. Weather is cool, but warmer than Indiana. Went to Johns Pass and Aquarium. See Pike County soon. Teresa Walters, Everett, Sheli and Morgan Dillon. Thanks, Teresa, Everett, Sheli and Morgan for the Florida postcard #588 and I hope spending time with your mom Sue was most eventful. Also thanks for bringing some of that warmer weather back with you to Indiana. If you would like to share a trip, or just to say hi to all our stars, the address is still Sweets Column, Winslow, IN 47598. The weather is slowly changing over to more of the warmer days where sometimes only a jacket is required, and that has helped Norm and I, as we have been working in the yard, and the yard looks somewhat like a yard now, but we have a lot more backbreaking work to do. As for me, Im loving every ache I have. No kidding, I love those aches because I know exactly how I got them and I also know when to take a break. Have you seen the rose bushes with new leaves on them? The tulip trees are beginning to blossom. Grass, yes, green grass, has begun to grow and a few more lawn mowers are being heard in the neighborhood. The farmers are out in some fields preparing the soil for the planting season that will be here soon. Spring break is over and the kids are into softball practice in Winslow. The games will start soon, but I hope the coaches will have as much fun in these practice days as the kids do. Just a few more months and school will be out for the summer and your child will be graduating into another grade or they will be going into the many jobs that are out there. Spend some time out of your busy schedule with your child and truly have that time just for them. That also means to turn off that phone or whatever you are using and listen to what they have to say. It just might surprise you that they love you, too. The lights are beginning to dim for this week, but the friends are always there for you. Remember to always smile, wave and say hi to everyone this week.
